The first ME game had a special atmosphere the next two games lacked. You drove around desolate alien settings, and gunned down husks or Thorian creepers in deteriorating structures. The universe felt vast and hateful toward life (you know... the way the universe actually is).

My hopes for ME4 are similar in a lot of ways to my hopes for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. I want them to return to their classic roots, but improve on them.

They've had a lot of time to think. We may get the best aspects of all the 3 prior games. ME1 exploration, ME2 ending & ending sequence style sections, ME3 multiplayer, ME2&3 combat etc.

MMOs are kind of on their way out anyway. Even Blizzard acknowledges that. I don't know what you guys are worried about.

While I loved the trilogy even with some major flaws. I'm not going to get too pumped since Walters is still controlling the helm. Though, looks fantastic from what they are saying.

well he's not the lead writer this time around it's a former halo writer and it's always the head designer which different from the creative director or head director (unless your some like kojima) that has final say with the story over the lead writer .

Everyone in the industery has said this to the video game press from the people that made Ratchet & clank and so on

What? He isn't? I thought he was back as the main writer, but that's good to hear though.

I wonder what happened to the head designer back at ME3 then, Hudson was also involved with some bad choices made from what I read. I don't think Mac was the only responsible from ME3 reception, but he played a big role. I'm glad he's not the former writer anymore.

I think Hudson was the both the head designer or associate(partner) in that department and producer at once if there was another he/she left and most people don't know his/her name or face cause Hudson was the public relation's person to the gamer press, as well he was all up in everyone's face like Randy pitch ford for boarder lands ( the latter I just mentioned has stopped taking all the spot light these days with the gamer press)

I cannot wait for a new ME game. Even their weak points are better than many franchise's strong points.

It's kinda sad that last night I was playing AC Unity, a franchise I love and game I've been waiting for... and in the back of my head I was thinking how much better it would be to restart ME. They just got so many things right with that entire franchise.

Casey was the executive producer if I remember right. He was one of the guys that started the Mass Effect Franchise. So no wonder why he would have such power. Shame that he left.

I thought Unity would one of the best games of the year along with Inquisition but it seems that I was wrong. I mean, it has ratings lower than Rogue. You don't need a reason to replay the trilogy Just insert ME1 on the disc tray and have fun!

that would be you depending on his schedule though. and no way would they ever make it Ps4 exclusive. if anything it'll be xbone exclusive.

If this turns out to be legit I'll be waiting to see what all it offers before I buy. I got the trilogy for 360 and if all they are doing is making a trilogy port for X1/PS4 then I'll pass. They will have to announce the games have been remade with modern graphics to get me interested.

Well he lives right here and I see him all the time. Since I sold my PS3 I play all Playstation games at his (even ones I've bought that he's not into) and it was one reason I didn't get a PS4 as it gave us an excuse to hang out all the time.

I know it won't be exclusive, I think I misunderstood when you were asking me which platform I'd get it for as I thought you knew I had Xbox and the advert was for PS (so was just answering hypothetically).

I wouldn't expect too much in the way of changes outside of graphics but I would expect an upgrade on that. And that alone would get me to buy the whole thing. I'm really itching to play all 3 again from start to finish and will do on old gen before ME4 if they end up not rereleasing them.

Heh, I certainly won't be doing that. It's one my favourite series now. Not many games I'm looking forward to more than Mass Effect 4.

if they remaster the trilogy you can bet your ass they'll include all dlc components. and it won't be for a while dude. your dlc purchase is still worth it.
