The Official Michael Shannon IS General Zod - Part 2

So, the picture thread has pictures of what looks to be Michael Shannon in a mo-cap suit. Can't wait to see how that turns out!

I imagine something like a cross between Tron and some sort of Kryptonian armour plated suit. In reality, I imagine it looks like a cross between Tron and Ironman if he is armour plated. I think that would look great.

Showtime and I have discussed the possibility that Zod's suit will be similar to Superman, i.e. a cape, a symbol on his chest, etc.

sorry but thats BS. yes if its CGI then it means that it can not be build. but the only thing that they can not do is an organic glowing suit and subtle muscle movement . everything else can be done.

again if its moving on hes body or if there is organic glowing.

How many separate locations have we seen Shannon wearing a mo-cap suit? If he always has it on, I would say it probably is the suit.

How about a suit that Zod and the kryptonian army use on krypton, a suit that emits and powers them with yellow sunlight while shielding them from the effect of the red sun. This way they possess great strength and speed on krypton. And that’s what the mo cap is for.

Shannon in a mo-cap suit can mean many things. Could just be a cgi-version of him instead of a stunt-double for a scene they wanna nail on the site.
See, I'm speculating and not concluding...

I dont know if anyone else had this theory, I don't really keep up with the Zod thread, but what if they gave Zod a list of powers he has never had before? I was just trying to think of reasons why they would use MoCap besides for a suit. Like they took an already established character, but gave him powers that were most convenient to the story. Do you think they would do that? Didn't Nolan mix multiple Bat villains together for his movie?

I brought up somewhere (another board, I think) that it might be cool if Zod has a Kryptonian battle suit of some kind. It's not giving him any powers Superman doesn't have, but Kryptonian weapons would make him an even bigger threat, especially if they can hurt Superman.

Nobody knows anything about the characterization of anyone in Dark Knight Rises. So that's all speculation and/or ********.

I was thinking they should update Zod's Silver Age look, and maybe add a cape and brighter, primary colors, but then I realized:

I'm hoping to see something inspired by the more Silver Age Krypton, or even partially the Byrne era, in terms of the robes and alien fabrics and hieroglyphics. It's been rumored that Krypton is supposed to resemble Coruscant more than the ice planet from the Donner films, so I'd love to see Zod in something that comes off definitely as both alien and regal. Not necessarily a cape, but some kind of robes would work, which would still serve to give him a mirror look to Superman. Having his family crest displayed, or at the very least his own sort of symbol, would be great as well. Smallville's House of Zod symbol was pretty good.

I really don't want a "Z" looking logo for Zod. If the Kryptonians speak another language, wouldn't they have a different alphabet? And if they had a different alphabet, why would they have a "Z" for Zod in a logo? Or is it suppose to be a coincidence that the "S" (which has nothing to do with Kal-El) is understood to be an "S" so it became "S" for Superman and then (since the Zod character was created later on) then Zod has a stylized "Z" for Zod?
