Almost exactly a year ago, Arc System Works revealed that they were working on bringing the Guilty Gear series to the Nintendo Switch in the form of a Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R port of the 2007 title of the same name.

Arc System Works didn't update fans on the state of this Guilty Gear port for the Nintendo Switch for a long time, leading some to believe that they were not going to be releasing the game, with the exception that the Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R had been delayed; that is until January of this year, when the developer revealed that they were working on a 20th anniversary collection for the Guilty Gear series.

Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Package would not only be including Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R, but it would also be including the original 1998 Guilty Gear, making it more of a treat for fans of the long-running anime fighting series.

The latest trailer that Arc System Works has released for Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Package reveals that the game will be officially releasing in just a month from today, on the 16th of May, for the Nintendo Switch, and at a later yet-to-be-determined date for the PlayStation 4.

What's somewhat upsetting is the fact that Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Package will not be getting a physical release in North America. The good news is that the Nintendo Switch isn't region-locked, so fans of the series can still order their copy from Japanese retailers and play the game on their North American/European console.

Take a look:

The classic original of the entire franchise "GUILTY GEAR" first released in 1998, together with "GUILTY GEAR XX ACCENT CORE PLUS R" which made its first debut in arcades in 2012, are now both available under 1 single package.

Guilty Gear 20th Anniversary Pack will be available for the Nintendo Switch on the 16th of May.

RUMOR: The Revised, And Cheaper Version Of The Nintendo Switch Expected To Release Very Soon
A recent rumor seems to claim that the cheaper revision of the Nintendo Switch will be releasing at some point in June of this year; expected to receive a modest update.Read more

About a month ago, it was revealed by Takashi Mochizuki — tech reporter at The Wall Street Journal — that Nintendo was working on two revisions for the Nintendo Switch; a low-budget version of the console, and a slightly more powerful, or enhanced, console.

Nintendo has yet to officially reveal any of the claimed new revisions, but keeping in mind Nintendo's history with their consoles, especially handheld consoles, it is safe to assume that this was going to be the case, at some point, any way.

The latest rumor regarding the low-budget revision of the Nintendo Switch seems to point to Nintendo wanting to release this brand-new console by the end of June, according to an article on Bloomberg — which claims that their sources mentioned the new device's launch date, as well as revealing that Nintendo will also give the Switch a "modest upgrade".

"Growth in the current period will get a boost from the launch of a new, cheaper version of the Switch, according to two people familiar with the matter who requested anonymity to discuss private plans. The new device will likely be launched by the end of June, according to one of the people. The existing Switch will receive a modest upgrade this year, though a more powerful version is not in the works, the people said.

Nintendo has yet to acknowledge the new hardware, but will likely include it in its guidance, leading to a lot of guesswork and reverse-engineering of the figures, analysts said.
"

If we were to trust Bloomberg's sources, Nintendo is mainly focusing on releasing the new low-budget revision first, and then offer a slightly enhanced Nintendo Switch version later on. Nintendo has done things like this in the past by slightly upgrading their consoles(handheld consoles in particular) by slightly redesigning them and adding a bit of extra power that is usually not worth paying if you already own the previous model.

Whatever the case, and if the rumor is to be believed, it really seems that Nintendo wants to push a budget Nintendo Switch in order to improve their sales, which is actually a smart move considering that they still need to cater to the Nintendo 3DS demographic that are likely waiting for the Switch's price to drop before they get one.

with opposite thoughts interpretation wise.

Nintendo will likely release a “new, cheaper version of the Switch” by the end of June, according to two people familiar with the matter who spoke to Bloomberg on the condition of anonymity. The existing Switch will reportedly receive a “modest upgrade” in 2019, but “a more powerful version is not in the works,” according to the people.

While Nintendo has yet to officially announce any new Switch models, it is possible the company will discuss the rumored hardware during its year earnings release for the fiscal year ending March 2020 on April 25.

Persona Warriors isn't exactly what I was expecting.

what's cool about atlus is they aren't afraid to do new Genre. But seriously they over pushed announcing this. it's another spin off, so we'll see if it's fun. but seriously it would be cool to have main line persona on the switch and to have main line SMT on the ps4 as well.

People where not joking when they said Cuphead is a hard game. Just started playing it and in like a hour and a half I beat just one boss and one other level and died like 100 times. Fun game though but yeah sure is hard.

if Persona 5 does come to Switch, I have a feeling that will happen only after Royal gets released on PS4 first. Then, maybe 4 or 5 months later, Royal gets released on Switch.

It really wouldn't make much sense to release base P5 game on Switch with the more complete version coming out later with Royal on PS4 only.

I would feel cheated as a Switch owner if that happened. I would wonder how come we're not getting the full game with Royal.

your right it wouldn't .it's best to get the full game especially how hard it is for some studio's that aren't used to cartridge base tech. I really wish cartridges were up graded to memory file drive stick's with the benefit how strong the old school carriage were where the games aged well on them depending onn the quality of the content made in it.

also it would be best to get person 4 golden and persona 3 before that and better version of the up coming persona Q2 with english voice dub's like the first one.

well I have change the title of the p5 thread a bit regardless . it needs to be moved to the multi plat area at some point among others.

The issue isn't the cartridge itself. It is how much more expensive bigger cards are.

it's both where Studio game makers are concerned. while the platform makers were still using cartridges to a degree with the hand held's. the cartridges & cards didn't evolve past a certain point while the pc did from the blue ray to the file drive which works the very same way cartridges do ,even with it's own cards . but still better. so in way thing's went back to cartridge form .

Sadly on the games side most of the studio dev's are only used to certain tech on blue ray and half of them are lazy these days. they don't all do making a game from a ground up any more on ever system that 's architecture is different from the other. and are very reluctant to. even though once in while get some willing to do so ,there's the other problem become's expense and it's turning off the buyer when the game studio say that's the term's of the service of their work to the platform maker . which Game studio's set the price for their terms of service as they say . yet fan's blame platform makers it's an over all weird animal now.

the point it's both the card's and the cartridges should where the pc File drives should be they thumb drives or otherwise are now. they were pushing smaller accessible tech befor on the pc side . but they slowed down to a degree too on the pc side. but the file drive is where things should be at now be side's us still using blue ray currently. The latter of which is still very good and your able to store alot content.

well, I finally dusted off my Switch and got it hooked up to my new TV. looks like I missed quite a few system updates, so had to get that out of the way......lol.

and got Super Smash Bros updated and ready to go. so I will finally play it for the 1st time tonight.

So I am getting low on memory now on my switch after having only like 7 games. I will most likely need more memory once Mario maker 2 comes out has I think that is the next switch game I plain to get. How does that work on the switch? I known on ps4 you can get a bigger hard drive and save your game saves on a usb drive to transfer to the new hard drive has I have done that has I have a 2 TB hard drive on my ps4. I known you cant back up saves on switch but can you copy thee game files them selfs on a sd card or what?

maybe this article might help?

How to upgrade your Nintendo Switch storage and migrate your games

Yeah, micro-sd cards are the expandable memory for the Switch. The game cart holder I got that is from Nintendo even has a place to store them under the game carts.

I got a SD card yesterday on my way to my college classes yesterday from best buy. I got a 128 GB card for $40 and transferred my stuff last night. Now between the system its self and the card I have a told of 123.1 GB of memory left. Crazy how little of memory systems have today. It only took like 7 games to have to upgrade and back with ps4 I had was able to get up to like 9 games before I got a 2 TB hard drive. If a systems is really good I can end up with like 30 games or so on it so systems only being able to hold like 10 games or so is pretty low.

glad you were able to resolve your issue.

and yeah, these systems need to come with bigger storage by default. especially if they are trying to nudge us to a digital future.
