It seems that Nintendo didn't only revised the Nintendo Switch, since new information has revealed that the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller also got a slight revision — although it is best not to get too excited about it, as the changes are probably not worth an upgrade.

The information comes from a Resetera thread posted by user SiG, who spotted a different serial number on the box of a Nintendo Switch Pro Controller; stating that this was version 104889D instead of 105889E.

For those unaware, the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller's D-Pad is widely considered to be a step back from previous controllers, mainly because it causes some inputs to either not register, or register when the user inputs a different direction than the one the controller detects.

Twitter user @SpawnWaveMedia, from the SpawnWave YouTube tech channel, got hold of one of these revised Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers and tore it down, revealing that there are some changes made to the controller's D-Pad, but they are slight at best; concluding that the changes made will probably not do much with button presses.

Spawn Wave @SpawnWaveMedia

No huge difference with the new revision. The DPAD appears to be made slightly different, but it's not going to do much with button presses. The center spike is maybe a MM longer on the new one if at all. Probably not worth buying a new one over.

New information revealed by internal data from Nintendo has revealed that the Nintendo Switch family of systems — which currently include the original Nintendo Switch and the recently released Nintendo Switch Lite — has managed to sell over 15 million units in the United States.

According to this internal data, those 15 million units of both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite consoles have been sold since March of 2017; when the console was first released on the market worldwide.

This new information also reveals that Nintendo Switch sales in North America are up more than 20% year to date. The Nintendo Switch has also been a very popular item in the United States, crowned as the best-selling video game console for 10 months in a row.

Nintendo of America Chief Operating Officer Doug Bowser has stated that this holiday season will see the company delivering more unique experiences to players — as release dates for some heavy hitter titles like Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield draw closer every day.

"As we enter our third holiday season, Nintendo Switch is creating smiles and enjoying broad appeal, with more than 15 million consumers across North America playing their favorite games whenever and wherever they like," explained Bowser while also adding that this holliday they[Nintendo] are "bringing Nintendo Switch owners even more fresh and unique entertainment experiences, like Ring Fit Adventure, Luigi’s Mansion 3, Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield, and Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games: Tokyo 2020, adding to the system’s large and diverse library of games."

The Nintendo Switch has managed to become quite the popular console, and the recently released Nintendo Switch Lite is likely to follow in the same steps. With the holidays just around the corner, it will be really interesting to see if the Nintendo Switch family of systems manages to be the best-selling console in the United States for a whole year.

Just a couple of days ago it was revealed that the Nintendo Switch was the best-selling console in the U.S., with over 15 million units sold for 10 months in a row; quite an impressive feat, but new information reveals that the Switch may be doing better than we thought from a sales standpoint.

According to NPD Group analyst Mat Piscatella, the Nintendo Switch is the best-selling hardware platform of September as well as the best-selling platform of 2019. Piscatella also reveals that the Nintendo Switch is the only video game console with sales gains in hardware spending year-to-date, as well as in the month of September.

What Piscatella doesn't specify is if he's only considering the Nintendo Switch as a brand, or if he's also including the Nintendo Switch Lite — which was released on the 20th of September; considering that the new budget handheld console could've helped boost those sales significantly.

· Oct 17, 2019

Replying to @MatPiscatella
US NPD HW - Hardware spending in September 2019 fell 22% vs YA, to $240 million. Year-to-date hardware spending has declined 21 percent versus year ago, to $1.9 billion. Nintendo Switch is the only platform with sales gains both in September as well as year-to-date.

Mat Piscatella @MatPiscatella

US NPD HW - Nintendo Switch was again the best-selling hardware platform of September and remains the best-selling platform of 2019.

Gears for Breakfast officially announced, back in January of this year, that they would finally be releasing their critically praised 3D platformer, A Hat in Time, on the Nintendo Switch, after having previously said that the game would simply not release on the portable system.

A Hat in Time for the Nintendo Switch is actually scheduled to release tomorrow, but we do have to remind players that it will only be available via the Nintendo Switch eShop; physical copies were pushed back and won't be releasing until the 8th of November, revealed Gears for Breakfast earlier this month.

Now that the game is only a day away from releasing on the Nintendo Switch, Gears for Breakfast has shared a brand-new, and charming trailer for A Hat in Time that gives us an idea of what the game will look like on Nintendo's popular handheld hybrid console.

It is also worth reminding that Gears for Breakfast also confirmed A Hat in Time for the Nintendo Switch will be getting the Nyakuza Metro DLC, although it will not feature Online party, but they still haven't revealed exactly when that will be.

Check it out:

In A Hat in Time you play as a tiny space-travelling girl with a big tophat. Her adventure is halted when all her fuel, the Time Pieces, is lost and scattered across a nearby planet. Hat Kid must now jump, fight and stitch new hats to make her way into every nook and cranny of this new world in order to restore her fuel and resume her journey. On her way, she'll bump into the menacing Mafia of Cooks, the goofy birds of Dead Bird Studio, the spooky shadows of Subcon Forest, and more!
A Hat in Time will be releasing for the Nintendo Switch on the 18th of October.

Check Out These Gamecube-Inspired Controllers For Nintendo Switch
Many Nintendo Switch users are familiar with the oldie but goodie Gamecube gaming system. Sades has launched new Switch controllers that use the old system as inspiration for their design. Check them out.Read more

One of the unique features of the Nintendo Switch is its detachable and wireless Joy-Cons. These two controllers have seen a wide array of designs in both color or skin themes and physical variations. Sades has now launched a Gamecube-inspired design for these Joy-Cons.

Players familiar with the Gamecube and its controllers will recognize this design immediately. These Joy-cons are quite an accurate replica when it comes to the button and joy-stick designs. We can see how Sades uses the same button placement, color and size as the Gamecube.

The Joy-Cons have the big green A in the middle with the Y/X on top of it while the small red B button is at its appropriate place in the bottom. The C Joy-Stick is below them and has the same hexagonal design as the Gamecube. The left Joy-Stick, D-pad and utility buttons look the same as well.

If you are a Smash Bros player, these controllers will be a blast from the past. Will you be buying these Gamecube-themed Joy-Cons? Here is the link to the Amazon post. Let us know in the comments if you think these look great or not!

Did anyone else get Luigi’s mansion? I did and I’m loving it. It’s very cute. It’s the first time I’ve ever played a weegy’s mansion game

I want to. The first game had the right mix of Mario cuteness and eerie atmosphere.

Yeah give it a go. I clocked it in a week but that’s ok, I think I might have gotten bored if it lasted longer than that and it was incredibly cute

So will 2020 be a year, where no big title will be released?
For me its Seiken Densetsu 3 but I‘m talking more about the Nintendos own properties
Its maybe way too early for a new Zelda game

Animal Crossing. I know doesn't sound like a big title, but for some it is.

Animal Crossing is the biggest one we know about. I doubt they are moving away from yearly pokemon releases, expect Let's Go 2. Plenty of room for other surprises. Splatoon 3 seems likely. As well as Mario Kart 8 has sold, it has been a long time since we got a new one, so definitely feeling Mario Kart 9. Shin Megami Tensei 5 is still MIA. Bayo 3 and No More Heroes 3, not big, but exciting for a crowd. Breath of the Wild 2 is a big wild card. We have already seen more of that than SMT 5 and Metroid Prime 4. Prime 4 is 2021, most likely with the revamp.

2017 i thought was a great year 2018 slow and 2019 amazing 2020 might go back to slow again but its way to early to know. Nintendo dosnt announce games that far ahead of time any more for the most part. That means a lot of 2020 games we dont even known about yet. If we dont get news about any thing big in early 2020 then 2020 might be slow but even then i think BOTW 2 could be late 2020. Maybe we get a surprised and get a new DK game. I sure hope we get a new DK game on switch soon. We got a port of DKTF but no new game for DK game on switch yet and DK is my second favorite nintendo franchise behind only zelda. After DK n64 in 1999 we didn't get a normal DK game again un till returns in 2010. 11 years. By early next year it will have been 6 years sense TF. I dont want to have to wait all the way un till like 2025 or something for a new DK game.

Definitely keen on animal crossing. Cant wait! It’ll be my first animal crossing game

so what's the difference between the original Switch model and the most current model?

I heard the current model has better battery life, but is that the only difference? Is it worth getting the newer model just for that?

I ask because I may pick up a Switch this BF. The only real bundle I see being advertised is the Mario Kart bundle, but that seems to be for the original model only.

Would it still be a good deal to get that original model bundled with Mario Kart vs just a newer model with no games?

It's just better battery life. The system is exactly the same. It's not faster or anything like that. I never upgraded, because there's literally no point, unless my Switch dies.

^ok, thanks. I think I'll just get the base Mario Kart bundle, then.

Good to know they are going to be updating.

Nintendo America‘s president’s name is really Doug BOWSER?

I'm glad I decided to give the Switch another chance and pick up the Mario Kart bundle during Black Friday.

firing up Link's Awakening and hearing the classic Zelda theme really brought a smile to my face. Had so many memories playing that game back on the Game Boy. In fact, I can still remember some of the places I took my Game Boy while I played that game.

I've been playing BotW for about 3 weeks now when I have time to. I didn't realize how much I missed playing a Zelda game until then.

Damn, there's a lot of really good indies that they announced. The standouts for me are Axiom Verge 2, and then this game, which looks all sorts of amazing:

Sports Story and Skatebird have my interest.
