Blackbeard was a real life pirate I believe. I remember he tried to scare people by pretending to be a ghost by tying lit candles to his beard. His beard caught on fir though (Oops). I think legend says his headless ghost (not because of the fire) still sails the seas.

Howabout the Fountain of Youth is in the Bermuda Triangle? It would make sense considering most people looked for FoY in what is now Florida, and Florida is one of the corners of the Bermuda Triangle.
