Why? The boxoffice says enough about the numbers. It's the #1 film.

Why, because if Disney was happy with the numbers, wouldn't that have confirmed it already?
But then I suppose the writers have got to think of an idea first...

And Silver Knight,
I think Will's character came to an end in the 3rd, but Will could always come back because he is Captain of the Flying Dutchman, so he could do the job wrong like Davy did and make terror on the ocean's but I doubt it because that wouldn't be like him, but either way he could possibly still have a story.

Even though Jack Sparrows debt was settles with Davy Jones...i think Will Turner owes Jack....esp now...so there is plenty of room for Will, especially if Jack needs him...and Elizabeth will be in it just because shes so damn hot.

I kinda bummed that they made the movie about Will these three movies when he made me sleepy. Liz and Jack and Barbossa saved the movies for me.

Disney is working on a solid plot for a fourth film before announcing the film.

i wish Johnny Depp and Geoffrey Rush were younger...3 prequels and one sequel would be niiiiiice

I hope they don't make another one. Or a prequel or spin-off or anything close to a Pirates movie. The first two were very, very good. The first one is going to become a legitimately classic adventure movie. But the third one barely stopped from becoming a total mess. You could see the stuff the producers wanted in order to sell more toys (The whole China subplot). The end of the second one set up a great premise for Jack and Barbossa having to work together but there was too much screen time wasted on Chow-Yun Fat, Elizabeth, Will, and Davy Jones. That was the hook of the movie, that the villain from the first one had to work with the heroes, and it didn't get fleshed out.

Title: Pirates of the Caribbean (IMDb)
Starring: Johnny Depp
Released: 4th December 2007
SRP: $34.99 (2-Disc)

Further Details:
Disney has announced single ($29.99) and 2-disc ($34.99) editions of Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End which stars Johnny Depp. Each will be available to own from the 4th December. The film itself will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, along with an English Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround track. The only extra material on the single-disc will be an audio commentary, and a blooper reel. The two-disc edition should include that too (although the commentary track isn't listed for some reason), along with an Anatomy of a Scene: The Maelstrom, a Keith & the Captain featurette on the cameo by Keith Richards, a Tale of the Multiple Jacks featurette, a Hoist the Colors featurette, a Masters of Design five part documentary (Jim Byrkit and The Map, Crash McCreary and the Krusty Pirates, Rick Heinrichs and the Singapore Set, Penny Rose and the Captain Teague Costumes, and Chris Peck and the Pirate Code Book), and an Inside the Brethren Court feature that takes a closer look at the legendary Pirate Lords. Completing the package will be The Pirate Code: Revealed feature, a World of Chow Yun Fat feature that looks at sensation Chow Yun Fat's rise to fame, and another featurette on the music of Hans Zimmer.

Also available from the 4th December will be a Blu-ray release of the film. The Blu-ray Disc includes a high-definition presentation, along with 7.1 Surround. Extras wise the Blu-ray version will include all of the standard DVD bonus content re-mastered in high-definition, plus exclusive BD-Java enhanced features including "Enter the Maelstrom," an extensive interactive look at the climactic sequence of "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End" and the return of the Jolly Roger host, who navigates users through animated menus with state-of-the-art BD-Java enabled artificial intelligence. This scurvy scallywag entertainingly guides you through the pirate waters of your Blu-ray experience, responding to your actions (and your inactions) with humorous commentary. Retail will be $35.99. We've attached some artwork below:

I hate that artwork.

I'll be on the two disc set.

Alright fellas, The fantasy hobbits trilogy is over, the Jedi space saga is over, and now the Pirates have come to an end.

I wonder what's going to be the next big epic trilogy...I don't think there are any more genres left to do. I bet next we'll get another fantasty trilogy.

Oooooooooooo! I'm all excitied now, I wonder if it's going to be sequel or prequel, I hope it's prequel so Beckett could come back, and we'd see the whole Wicked Wench story, how cool! :woot:

i like how the first one has Jack VS Davy on it...

speaking of which...does anyone have a good desktop background of jack and davy in the maelstrom?

What was the blue artwork 2 pages back though? I wonder will the artwork be the same for Region 1 and 2. I'm presuming it will be, like the other two movies.

I didn't like the blue ones. Maybe they were prototypes or something else.
