Not asking how he was resurrected, nor do I think it is mentioned.
I'm saying the way she resurrected him would be the same for Jack...no him falling out of the sky or anything.

It makes sense to me that she would take control of Davy Jones and then the Kraken, however, and somehow get jack out of the kraken...I dunno how that would work though

Ohh ok

Well in some of the plot synopsis that I have read, it says that Barbosa helps Will rescue Sparrow, and that the tite At Worlds End, is both a reference to where Sparrow is, and where they are going after that (Singapore)

So I thought it would be funny, is while everyone is looking for Sparrow, they can't find him anywhere in this ambiguos Worlds End, and like he where to like just fall out of the sky and land right infront of his feet.

This is all from what I have read as being some of the broad plots of the movie

Thanks for that...I can't wait to get the DVD and listen to their commentary...they sound really down-to-earth and intelligent with a genuine passion for their work.

Sweet! :woot:

^ Yeah very, I thought that was one thing that there could have been more of in DMC

So I have a question, What was Jack's compass pointing too through the first hour?

and there are multipule hints on the special edition disk, if you watch "According to plan" on the 1st main menu, you can catch two hints of Pirates 3. The first is when they are showing several clips of people saying "According to plan" in one of the last ones you can see them saying it in front of what looks like a shoot in Singapore. Then, in the same clip, when they are discussing the plot, you can hear gore or one of the directors talking about Barbossa tricking Elizabeth through one of his "That wasn't part of the agreement" tricks.

Walt Disney Pictures' Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest became the #1 DVD of the holiday season, selling nearly 5 million units on DVD in North America in its first day of release it was announced today by Bob Chapek, president of Buena Vista Worldwide Home Entertainment.

This fete now poises Buena Vista Worldwide Home Entertainment to finish the 2006 year owning three of the top three DVD releases of the year with "Dead Man's Chest," Cars and The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe. Adding to these phenomenal accomplishments, the nearly 5 million DVD units sold of "Dead Man's Chest" in its first day of sales puts it on track to become the #1 selling "live-action" DVD title of all time.

"We could not be more thrilled with the incredible success of 'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest,'" commented Chapek. "This franchise is a genuine treasure for us and we are ecstatic that the momentum generated at theatrical has continued with the DVD release. Consumers have an insatiable appetite for all things Pirates of the Caribbean."

"'Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest' is officially on track to become the #1 selling DVD of the year. This, coupled with the recent successes of 'Cars' and the Platinum release of 'The Little Mermaid,' continues to illustrate the enduring appeal of Disney branded movies in the DVD industry. Now, the writers make illustrate your question well in the commentary, they say Sparrow wants the Dead Man's Chest, but he also wants Elizebeth, which, I would argue, he wants the nobility that he gained helping Jack, and Elizabeth in 1

So do you really think that in AWE, Sparrow and Elizabeth will end up together?

Nah, it's Elizebeth's lust, but I think she ether knows that already, by chaining Jack up to save Will, or she will find out in AWE

I just saw POTC2 on DVD, and quite frankly, other than the popularity of Jack´s character, don´t know what the big noise was about... It´s a disjointed mess that doesn´t have any real point, is basically just a poorly glued collection of moments in the style of the first movie - cartoony action scenes, gruesome cursed pirates, Sparrow´s one-liners, except they served a story the first time around. It takes two and a half hours to go nowhere and actually seems to be missing pieces along the way - what made the natives think Jack was a God, how was Will rescued from Jones´ship? Kids love this, right, that is, till they grow up and realize it doesn´t make a lick of sense.

The people who complain about the plot just wheren't paying attention, cause while they left alot open with the cliff hanger, there is completion in both Jack, and Elizebeths characters in the movie. Will, his dad, Davy Jones, and Norrington still have to have there stories play out, and I am sure elizebeth, and Jack will have a new story line, but that is all part of the reason they are making it as two movies.

There were little things and moments, but way too little to spend two and a half hours with. It´s beginning to feel like the sequels to The Matrix, they´re gonna take two movies to tell a story they could easily tell in one. In The Matrix it was overlong wire-fu scenes and philosobabble, here it´s endless cartoony action scenes - it felt like that wheel rolled around for half an hour of movie - and random one-liners.

Well...no.

I hate people who don't get it. It was a movie on its own (if you paid attention, which you obviously didn't), as well as proceeding the first film's storyline by continuing it, as well as building up to the third film's storyline, whatever that may be, to complete the trilogy.

And do NOT compare this to the Matrix trilogy. This trilogy is way better than that trilogy in any way shape of form. The first Matrix was good, though. But do NOT compare this trilogy to the Matrix trilogy. Just because they are a trilogy and the last two sequels were shot back to back gives you no right to compare them...

So enlighten me, what wasn´t I paying attention to? What´s the grand plan I´m missing, other than yet another cursed pirates tale pretty similar to the first movie, and the same basic conflict from the first movie about whether Sparrow is a crook with a good heart or just a crook? I´m not saying nothing happened, but little happened in the middle of a lot of goofy action, slapstick and one-liners.

Well, it is Disney, but it took me another watch to make me understand it more, even ask Darth Elektra. Around the film's theatrical release I was not looking forward to this film at all. But I watche dit, thought it was average, saw it again with a friend and I love it.

Because I got it the second time round. I'm not saying just because you saw it once doesn't mean you can't criticise it, I'm just saying watch it again, because you are missing whats in the movie.

BTW Jack Sparrow's one-liners is what made him so famous and loved, hence two sequels  Depp's the reason Disney greenlit two sequels.

Okay, I´ll rent it again - and rent the first movie again too, I haven´t seen it in a while - to see if I find what you´re referring to... But If I still don´t care for it, I´m sending you my video store bills...:cwink: :woot:

Not worth it. Chances are we'r ein different countries and you'd just have to spend more money to get me spend money hahah :p

They are really good movies, and watch the first one that would help, too. I find generally in any case) the more you watch the movie, the more you pick up, and the more you pick up, the more you enjoy it, and the more you enjoy it...do I need to continue? LOL!
