Wow, their names kind of suck. There's an excuse for DC's retaining the word "lad" in sidekick names out of a sense of traditionalism, but really... these are totally new characters...

The designs look good, though. The Iron Man wannabe looks kind of bland, but otherwise the designs are cool, especially Thor Jr.'s.

man, people are gonna crucify Millar for the few little continuity errors in that first page...especially him calling it Oscorp instead of Osborne Industries...

Hmm, that last page from the sketchbook preview is probably from the House of M, Xavier is easy to recognize, the woman might be Wanda and the guy wearing a cape.. Vision?

MT is freaking sweet. Moon Knight apperance was random, but cool.

Edit: Those are the worst four names I've ever heard.

I was just getting ready to do that.

If a writer's going to write in the 616, then he has to accept the responsibilities of it's history. Not continuity, history.

And at the time of this flashback, it was most definitely not called Oscorp, in fact I don't think it was Osborn Industries then. I think it was still Osborn Chemicals then.

This isn't the Ultimate Universe, it's the "real" Marvel Universe and it needs to eb treated as such.

It annoys the hell out of me when the Ultimate ideas leak into the 616.

That was strange because spiderfan.org is helping Millar with his scripts, they should have noticed that.

It's 2004 I thought we were long past the time of calling any one Lad unless they were a comic relife character. But I like all those designs i'm gonna pick up this book, any one know when it comes out?

Asgardian doesn't sound too bad, but I think he should've been given the name of either another Norse god, or another God of Thunder.

Patriot doesn't sound that bad. Brings back thoughts of the pro wrestler though. :D I like his costume.

Some new ones, all pics don't load yet but should work soonish.

Sigh...I sincerely hope they aren't trying to bleed the 2 universes together in the hopes that we won't notice.

What makes you think they are?

hmm seems like Moon Knight is popping up all over the place

Every day now we seem to see Ultimate stuff bleeding into 616 side. I HOPE it's just writers being idiots and not some underhanded plan.

I still don't know what you're talking about. Do you have an specific example or are you just talking about the mischaracterization going on in the mainstream universe?

I wonder why I never read this before. I checked the preview again and it certainly does look like Vision. He's got the little diamond on his chest and the upside-down triangle motif above the belt area... Here's hoping he's not just another figment of Wanda's imagination made real, since she's clearly out of her mind on that page.

to me it looks like wanda her two kids, vision and wonder man, with xavier using his powers to force wanda to destroy her creations.

alas they are fakes.

Yeah, Xavier dramatically showing up in the doorway and blowing the whole damn house up makes it look like he's astrally projecting into Wanda's mind to try and get rid of her delusions or something.

More or less, yeah. The whole Carnage is a vampire, etc.

They should really consider making a Power Pack cartoon for kids.

That could be a big hit.
