If Bendis writes him as confused, then prepare to want to wring Sentry's neck. Bendis' portrayal of confusion from Spider-Man in Ultimate Six makes you want to just shoot him. Talk about annoying!

I know it's the in thing to hate JMS at the moment, but seriously I've been loving Amazing Spider-Man right now. Maybe it's just because that Spidey is being written so much better here than anywhere else.

JMS shows plenty of respect for both Peter Parker and his alter-ego. Many writers (at least Kirkman and Bendis are guilty of this, Jenkins too) tend to forget he's a veteran superhero and they portray him as a nervous, inexperienced rookie.

Exactly.
We all take different things from our comics. Some people see Spidey being protrayed as weak because he got his arm broken. I see Spidey taking the worst beating out of all the hero's that night and still going to work the next day without any sleep and then travelling to the Savage Land later that night without having seen a doctor about his arm or having any rest whatsoever. That seems like a tough guy to me considering Cage was sleeping till around 4pm and it seems like Cap just got up a few hours before he saw Spidey. The day after that? He's taking on The Wrecker!
I also read Spidey informing Cage and a few others what to expect with Sauron, Electro and in the Savage Land thus showing his experience.
I don't think Bendis has captured 616 Spidey as well as JMS yet...But Bendis is using him in a team book and in two other big crossovers. JMS just has more room to explore the character.
But Bendis' Spidey isfunnier.

Yeah, Bendis said that lots of Spidey villaisn were gonna be used, so Spidey will have the most experience dealing with them. And like you said, ASM is a solo book entirely about Spider-Man. I think a lot of Spidey fans went into New Avengeres and expected Spidey to be the main character or something. He's getting just as much on-time as the rest, I'd say, and I don't expect him to be put in the spotlight just to show off how experienced he is.
Spidey isn't the comic releif. He;s a naturally funny guy, and I enjoy that Bendis is playing that up
I like it when JMS makes Spidey talk to himself about random stuff (like in his first issue, and that issue was pretty good too). That's probably the funniest parts in his writing. But Spidey throwing Wolverine out the window or Lobster Man at best put a tiny smile on my face
Bendis Spidey is to Avengers what Chandler is to Friends. He's really the funniest, even if everyone else finds him annoying
