Ult Deadpool is still looking cool... but Bendis has given him 2 WHOLE PAGES and nothing mind blowinglyfunny yet! :( :p
 
Y'know what the first thing I said about DEADPOOL when it was first solicted? That Deadpool would get to defeat, humiliate and unmask Spider-Man. Why? Because that is how nearly every USM arc goes. And guess what? I was right.

Predictability? Thy name is Bendis.

Such a shame, because everything else about USM is usually solid.

You know, it really surprises me when I see who some of the people who read the Ultimate are, especially those of you whom have such respect & good knowledge of the Classic universe.

Different strokes for different folks, but it's certainly eye opening nonetheless.

oh come on tmob, your closest hypester buddies read it, and from my vantage point you seem to respect their opinions the most on these boards. I don't see how you can still feel all gooky inside when you see more posters read Ultimate:( USM has had some really good stuff, just good comics. You know? Some people enjoy it. It's no different than liking one of the Spidey cartoons, which didn't adhere 100% to the comics. It's just a different universe. I think what we really have here is a case of a man with far left political beliefs being a comics conservative. And that means I can make fun of your peepee, because all conservatives have tiny peepees.

Of course I quit reading USM and I only read UXM trades because a buddy loans them to me (and I don't even like them). Love me.:(

C'mon man, where' the love?

I understand people not liking it, and why. I 100% agree with you that MU Spidey, even at it's worst, beats USM hands down, because of the richness of history, and frankly, he's the guy I grew up with. The guy I wanted to be. I remember so clearly wanting to have an apartment just like Pete's, with the "spool" table, the skylight in the bathroom, everything. When I first looked for apts in college, I used to always look in the bathrooms to see if there was one (even when I knew it was the 1st floor :eek: ) Frankly, it's probably why I studied chemistry, and probably has a bearing on me wanting to be a teacher.

But I really just enjoy USM, UXM, etc.as an alternate universe. No different to me then picking up DC stuff, Supreme Power, or Spider-Girl. But they're just characters to me, not old friends.

But don't worry, TMOB, my first love is Amazing Spider-Man!!
 
What?! Unmasked again...soon everyone in the Ultimate Universe (even little old ladies) will know Pete's face. Man Wade better have some funny stuff or it'll be a let down

Young Avengers looks awesome.Nice to see Captain Marvell in a comic again.
