Unless Iceman has seriously upped his power between X2 and X3, then Pyro could own his ass. Pyro's powers are fast off the mark, where as Iceman's powers where always displayed as relatively slow moving.

Pyro gets a bit too cocky (like the hare did), and all of a sudden, Iceman suddenly, out of nowhere, gives Pyro a huge ice blast...thus putting Pyro out... and the underdog takes the win (like the tortoise).

Well, Iceman likely will win. He is the good guy after all.

None the less, Pyro should win. Just like the hare should have won. He was by far the superior runner, but then, that wouldn't have made a sufficiently preachy fable.
