The Official Pyro/St. John Allerdyce Thread.

Matter of fact, I have. I had only just seen it on digital video disc when it first came out several weeks ago. It was refreshing to see Aaron out of his Pyro personality. He looked much older and MUCH badass. Wait til the climax. That's where he goes truly nuts on the mutants. Although, after hearing such great praise about the death scenes, they were sort of a let-down. I expected greater, but it was still enjoyable, nonetheless. Aaron fans should love THHE if you love Pyro. I wouldn't recommend buying, however. Rent it first, then be your own judge. But be warned, it is very gory and disturbing.

Here's what I was thinking; John's a wanderer. He joined Xavier's school because it was a place where there were people with special powers just like him where he could fit in. He has an authority complex and hates being told what to do, so when Magneto tells him he can do whatever he wants, he goes and joins the Brotherhood because he thinks it'll be better.

He's just trying to find where he belongs in this society.

He was already somewhat of a Sociopath, an example would be that gleam in his eyes when he was cooking bacon, er I mean the cops, but then joining the opposite side he can go all out without having to worry about how wrong it is from the goody-goodies.

I don't find the Brotherhood evil, just more aggressive in terms to the Pacifist X-Men. They both fight, love and try to cope, but each have their own set of rules. John's just trying to find out which side he likes best. In the book it mentions that he's not too sure about the Brotherhood yet, but has no obligations. He's trying to impress Magneto because the man has done so much for him and looks to him as a brother, not father.

I bet John's going to move on after a while... Just like with the X-Men, he'll probably find another group to go join because he grows tired after a while.

BTW: John and I have the same boots. He's a Hot Topic shopper! Haa!

I agree with what you're saying overall, however the sociopathic side, I'm not quite sure. I think that time with the cops was an important moment for him because he no longer felt helpless, and subjected to other ppl's rules. He suddenly felt empowered and able to make his own decisions and stand up for himself. I think alot was going on in that scene, alot dawning on him in terms of crossing boundaries. All along he's felt like a lesser person, partially because of all the stigma towards mutants, but also in terms of self-worth; he has no family, etc. I think at that moment, especially with the cops telling him to get down, it's his last warning, John crossed a line there. He was finally able to find something to redeem himself; suddenly he wasn't "just a kid", just some loner, just this loser whom everyone hates cuz he's a mutant. I love the way Stanford portrayed Allerdyce, at least in X2. There's a lot more going on with John than simply this fire-wielding kid who doesn't give a sh•t about authority. Part of him is just so destroyed by everyone they're supposed to protect; humans hate him, fear him, taunt him. Part of this hate for authority and humanity stems from the fact that he's been so victimized and marginalized. I don't think it's that he has no feelings of remorse or empathy at all; clearly "going bad" or seizing his powers using them in a way that would be called reckless or whatever is a step he's been hesitant about, and given some thought. Sociopathically, he wouldn't have cared either way from the beginning; he wouldn't have been so torn over his feelings, because he would have had none. Yeah....love this character, especially the movie-verse one they created. I'm sure part of him likes the showing off, but ultimately I think there's a need to be accepted going on behind it, remember when he boasted to Mags that he would drop Charles in a second if asked? His reaction to Mags' rebuke also demonstrated how he was prolly just aiming to impress, or to please.

I would have liked to have seen a scene with him quietly writing in the corner or something in X-2. In comic land, Pyro was a writer before turning to crime, and I would have loved to have seen that side of him.

yeh, it does. Ima torrenting High Skool Musical >.< sigh... I wish it was Aaron instead of Zac Efron Tho hehe ^^

Here's a nice pic i found, might not be new just thought i'd post it here. I like the fames coming outta the lighter :)

The store creeps me out a little.It feels like going into a haunted house and while browsing for clothes, you'd think something will pop out in front of you ;-;

OOOO i just looked it up. I have seen it i never been in it though. The ones in my mall has a chucky doll in the front. Its really kreepy.

i'm sure this has been asked thousands of times but why the f*** does Nightcrawler have a German accent and Pyro does not have a Scottish accent (or is it Irsih?) either way same for Colossus...where's his Russian accent?
