The Official Pyro/St. John Allerdyce Thread.

This avatar is an idea I got from someone's silly comment on one of my "Hills" youtube videos. The avatar is the result of my reply. :dew:

The entire movie could have been longer and could have had way better dialogue if the time was put into it.

On the commentary for the fight between Pyro and Iceman the writers and Ratner were like "The fans really wanted to see this." Uhh yeah we did, but not like that.

true! I wanted to see Angel join the xmen or something about him having joined them in the past (15-17yrs old). Plus I really wanted to see what happened to Cyclops. Plus not having to wait after those extra extra long creds to find out Xavier was alive on Muir Island.

yeah i was like

yeah we did, but we wanted more than a bloody 30sec fight, we wanted it to go off and be amazing!

I've been giving this some serious thought, and I think we need to make a petition. "Bring back Pyro!"

pyro is a great character and has so much more depth. I wanted to see his real death not the one that was protrayed in the movie (like the rest of the mutants that are actual key players in the comics, that were all killed off by the phoinex!)

That was the part that pissed me off the most in the movie, wow everyone is dead!

But hopefully maybe they can make the movie a What if... movie! What if a movie was made by a silly director and a script writer that didn't do his Homework what would the X-man movie be about, how many fans would be pleased, pissed off, commited suicide after seeing such and ablivous film? Lets watch! hehe I'm giddy.

Anyways I'm looking forward to the Magento movie! Laters I'm playing RE 4

I was about to say maybe John would show up in that, but it's a young Mags isn't it?

i really enjoyed X3, especially pyro. in X2 pyro used a lighter, as he cannot create fire, but in X3 he had a form of glove or something on his hand which created fire for him, and had the same symbol as his lighter. does anybody know what this was?

He is a great character. Even though certain characters didn't have a lot of screen time in X2, with the scenes they did have it was just enough to get inside that character's head and care about them. Ratner failed to do that.

Most likely Pyro isn't dead. They didn't show it. It's called "leaving it open." Aaron said he would do another and I think he signed a contract for another. However, if he isn't signed for another his decision would probably be based on the script.

It's a pilot light. It's called a wrist shark.

It was a shark symbolizing Bryan Singer's inspiration of the movie Jaws.

Besides Singer being a fan of Jaws I came to the conclusion that the shark is metaphor for Pyro.

The thought actually came out in one of my fics.

Sharks aren't "bad" they just need to survive and once in awhile they make a mistake by killing a human instead of a seal. Pyro, on the other hand, made mistakes but he did them to survive (Bobby's front lawn). And just like sharks, Pyro is labeled.

Very good point. I hate the fact that Sharks have a really bad press. They are beautiful animals.

i was never really a fan of pyro in the comics, but the movies gave him an interesting character and aaron did a great job. ( plus , he looks kinda dorky in the comics)

Agreed. I never liked comic book, or animated series Pyro either. But Pyro in the films kicks ass!
