I never saw a so called love triangle between John, Rogue and Bobby. But he did seem to have a thing for a certain old feller in a cape.

Also, if you think back to X-1, it was John that was originally trying to impress Rogue, and was then made to look stupid by Bobby.
I think losing out over Rogue would have made his fall from grace a little more interesting.

In the beginning scene in X2 with Bobby Pyro and Rogue in the foodcourt, Bobby's like, cut it out John or something then he's like, oh you jealous cuz you're gf's getting excited? blah blah. It wasn't very obvious at all but even in the novelizations of the movies there was evidence of the triangle.
Pyro loves things he can't touch!
Also, I think John has a serious jealousy issue with Bobby, especially when they were at the Drake house. Everything Bobby has, John wants, so in a way you could say they're the younger version of Cyclops/Jean/Wolverine

Anyway, also remember when they were in the cafeteria? John was so trying to impress Rogue! lol

I'd love to hear your guys opinions on how much of the attraction is based on the challenge/jealousy aspect. And how you think Bobby's one-upmanship in X1 affected it.
And brit, theres nothing wrong with bringing the pretty. I wish I had photoshop skills I would be making manips left and right.

Who made that?sigh... I'd so pick John over Bobby, though Shawn is cuter, Aaron's got that dangerous look in his eye that shouts; "go ahead, dare me!" (if that makes any sense)
As a permanent couple, I'd say no to Ryro. But I love fics where they flirt with each other. There's chemistry in playing with fire, John doesn't give a darn what Bobby thinks, and Rogue--being as insecure as she is--I'm sure loves the attention!
I think Pyro would bring out the vixen in Rogue. Would loved to have seen the triangle continued in X-3, have John face off with Rogue at the clinic. It would have been an interesting dialogue at least...

PYRO: --Oh, didn't you know?? I need to be cured, you see; I'm very sick, Rogue, very, very sick. (pretending look ill)
ROGUE: I know (disgustedly). But I highly doubt you're lookin' to get cured.
PYRO: So, (looking around casually) where's your Bobby-boo? Would have thought he'd be the one shoving you to the needle.
ROGUE: He doesn't know I'm here.
PYRO: You seriously came alone? (genuine disbelief)
ROGUE: Yeah, actually. This is something I want, John, Bobby ain't encouraging me to get cured.
PYRO: (laughing) You're so pathetic, Rogue!
ROGUE: Why don't you just leave!
PYRO: Wanna try and make me? Remember who makes you burn, Rogue
ROGUE: From what I recall, I was the one who sparked your flame.
PYRO: (a dark expression crosses his face at the memory of Rogue stealing his powers)
ROGUE: If you don't leave right now, I'll oblige to do it again.
PYRO: Pretty harsh words, but I'll be understanding since they're coming from the most frustrated person on the planet.
BOBBY: F***k off! (walking up from behind Pyro)

sorry, it's pretty crappy, am working on it though! I'll also blame it on too much alcohol consumption---or lack of...
anyhoo, I would have liked to see all three of them interact at the clinic. It's kind of boring with just the Bobby and John showdown. Rogue is just as involved in their friendship, in fact, probably the spark that sets all three of them off so nicely.
I'll have to work on the dialogue, it's a bit---crappy. lol.

ooo ms. vix, hahah, thats wicked! yeah, John would definitely be the slick type. Rogue would try to brush him off, but maybe she's somehow intrigued by him. I like the fact that he wants what he can't touch...that's really hot, see him being all dark and brooding. heheh.
