i'm tired of seeing these types of statements also. no one i've talked to, ESPECIALLY from SHH, has ever said that they wanted at 100% faithful representation.

You must have missed my post about this before Dorky, I wouldn't have minded a 100% adaptation, but it would have to be perceived as a fantasy film like Narnia or whatnot to be better accepted by the GA I think if it were. Talking animals, pervertedness, etc.. I'd be fine with it all if done properly.

After this movie is released everywhere else in the world, and more people feel scammed and dissapointed, we will have the same people (who are making these rumors right now about a longer version in the US) making up excuses saying probably something like: "oh, dont worry guys, the DVD version is the real version with everything in it, buy the DVDs because thats actually the good long version". And we will have the same sheep saying: "oh... I heard the DVD version is the complete cool version, lets buy it so we can have a sequel... you know... the sequel will be kick ass and awesome after all".

Its sad that people are justifying this abomination that doesnt even make sense as a movie by itself, saying that we should like this movie because the sequel will be better.

What the **** is wrong with people? Have we returned to prehistoric levels in terms of common sense? or are we officially living in a real life version of "idiocracy"?

That site is as trustworthy as a random comment from any random person in the streets. Why link that as evidence?.

Ok man, you know what, believe that. Theres no point. Let the masses flow in great quantities and dissapoint themselves on April 9th.

Imagine if like 90% of the comments about this movie right now (from people who have already seen it) are BAD/NEGATIVE (with capital letters) and like 7% are neutral like, not good nor bad and only like 3% are positive comments about this movie... I cant imagine when this movie is released and the general public watches this atrocity. The bad reviews will probably make the whole internet blow up in millions of pieces. What I mean is... if we as Dragonball fans couldnt even enjoy this not even looking at it with the perspective of a non-fan, imagine the general audience who will feel confused and will be like "wtf was this **** about?" and the sad thing is that they will think that this garbage is actually Dragonball, when actually this is nothing like DB. It isnt an adaptation either. Its nothing like DB, not even 10% DB.

dude I'm just linking sites with interesting news. I find it more that just coincidence that a handful of sites plus a Guy that owns a theater to say the movie is 100+ minutes

The way you talk to people is childish, grow up and stop being a troll yourself.

What exactly about his post did you find hard to understand?

The new footage is very very very good!! This proves this movie will be a total hit!!

Its kind of ironic that the trailer for this movie is getting positive reactions in movie theaters, yet the so called "true fans" and "movie critics" are the ones being negative.
Whats wrong with you guys? Why do you still hate it? Just because Goku isnt asian or Bulma´s hair isnt completely blue? What has happened? Just enjoy the movie like a normal person would, stop being so negative.

yeah man you cant imagine how happy I am about that. My hopes went up to the roof. Really this is a good signal. This movie will surprise more than one hater.

Mark my words, this movie will be a HIT.

come on, give this movie a chance. According to the "real deal" this movie is faithful and has a good ending. So just give it a chance.

I think the ones who are in panic are the haters, because this movie is looking good so far. They are just hating for the sake of hating. Most of them were crying that Piccolo wasnt green and for that the movie would suck, now hes green and they are still crying, whining and looking for more excuses.

I rest my case ^^

now that's a dramatic change..^-

If done faithfully it probably would have been perceived as a live action Dragonball movie. Which, you know, is a manga and anime series that already has millions of fans worldwide. I'm sure the current generation of kids and teens are more familiar with Dragonball than Narnia and it would have a large turnout.

A good Dragon Ball movie would have been a huge hit no doubt, but the problem here is that there are two main camps for this film.

1) People that have seen the trailer and heard the buzz for the film and thus believe it to be horrible.
2) People that don't even know about it because of the lack of publicity (at least in North America).

Those that are actually looking forward to the film are a very small minority. They seem larger than they actually are because Group 2 above isn't heard from at all. Just look at this site, judging by what the poll currently shows there is about 1 person who is happy with the film for every 20 that dislike it.

That does not make for a successful run at the box office.

at the end of the day if you didnt want the talking animas.humor ,..... you could still make a summer blockbuster.
you know that kind of movie that is for the masses and brings in 300 millions domestic. even a matrix type DB movie would make a lot money IMO.

but hey........ lets be happy that we at least got DB:E
-i am goku
-i am oozaru
-dragonnnnnnnnnnn

When I saw the film the dragon didn't speak. Where was Christopher Sabat?!?

I think you'll find JoseMP has been on here a lot longer than you have and stuck is neck out in support of this film. Having seen the film, or most of it, it is perfectly understandable why he, and he's not the only one, are frustrated - you go out of your way to support a film only to have this horror thrown back in your face.

All of these 1's are not justified.

Yes they are justified. The film has narrative and technical flaws that are outright embarrassing. The condensed plot (at times incomprehensible because of incredibly ridiculous plot holes) doesn't help either. Most of the actors delivered their lines incredibly wooden or seemed uninspired and self aware throughout the entire film. The special effects were mediocre held up to todays standards (films with a lesser budgets have pulled it off).

I could keep going but this movie failed as an adaptation. Meaning that a proper adaptation could change a ton of stuff from the source material yet still keep the nuance of the original story. This film didn't do that.

Anyone with half a brain would have known this was going to be an atrocity the moment the racial miscasting happened and the director was announced. Can't believe any intelligent life form actually had hope.

Believe it. There are a lot of very intelligent people on this forum who had hope. And I'm sure they might be offended by your opinion.

WTF I didn't even rate the movie on this dumb poll, damn, stop pestering me, and if I did rate it a 10 so what? :csad:

I just said I'll wait to watch in the theaters, since I'm getting free treatement. Is that so hard to understand or is everybody so caught up in becoming Dragonball Renegades they can't let people have the freedom of an opinion without being ridiculed for it

Did I insult you? Stop getting worked up about it. You voted a 10. Your name is there. If you haven't seen the movie yet, then why did you rate it?
