Comics The Official ROGUE Discussion Thread

Hey could anyone update me with Rogue in the comics the comics are not available here in my town or surroundings.

So what is Rogue up to these days?

she was most recently seen on a motorcycle in Australia

So let me get this straight.... They're planning on giving Rogue her flight and superstrength back?
I hope not. Just having her own powers means she has to be a lot more intelligent and skillful in battles. If she uses her powers well she can take on nearly anyone. Much as I loved Rogue back then, her input in to fights was really just bashing people and occasionally absorbing them to make them pass out. really didnt require much intelligence on the writers behalf.

I dont mind seeing her with just her base powers for a while, but I hope they eventually go back to giving her her flight and strength. I cant see Rogue being too useful in battle unless she's fighting some other melee character bc she's at a huge disadvantage. She needs to get up close in order to be effective and anyone with ranged powers can take her on. Her best bet would be to have a teammate nearby to siphon of their powers bc she cant always have that

Why isn't Rogue a high level mutant like omaga or somthing like that?? Cuz she can take on more than one mutant's powers and if she had multiple powers from different mutants she could be pretty powerful.

well there are new pics for marvel's 09 teaser, one of them is rogue. (taking a guess here seeing that the girl has green eyes and white bangs)

there's another one with scott (again just guessing bcuz of the red glasses, but then again this is marvel...)

i really dont get the guns or what the hell this is supposed to be, but it's the first new pic of rogue that i have seen in awhile. plus, the art looks freaking sweet.
any ideas what this could possibly be?

A Rogue with guns. That works. Just don't include any cancer sticks.

Awww, but MarySue!Rogue is so much fun.

Also, clearly, we're looking at promos for X-Men: The Western.

A hero shouldn't have to resort to major violence to save the day, plus they have powers why can't they use their powers instead of guns. Heroes are supposed to be role models, they shouldn't use guns.

That was during the X-treme arc when sage boosted rouge's powers to kill vargas, plus her contact with that alien girl. after that her power mutated to recalling powers she absorbed. And dont they fade away after a while to. But all thats gone thanks to the messiah babe

But i wouldn mind stepn up her level though. i wonder how her omega level would manifest

Right, like the brand new Captain America

You're very naive.

I can't tell whether or not you're doing it on purpose.

Yeah, that's not the vibe I'm getting here.

*puts on teacher!hat*

Think on this scenario...

Rogue, with only her powers, no flight, no strength, no invulnerability.

She's facing an opponent with a machine gun.

She has nothing.

Her only weapon is...her mutant ability...which she has to get close enough to actually USE...

*suspenseful music*

Her choices are a) run like hell (not really a Rogue mentality), b) charge like a bull and hope the Xavier paid up the insurance dues (more Rogue-like), or c) grab a nearby gun and distract the enemy long enough to get close...

Which choice is the most logical?

The idea that using guns make a character less of a hero is idiotic. The weapon doesn't make you a hero or a villain, how the character USES said weapon makes them what they are.

your funny, i cracked up while reading this^

it has been shown that she can fight, plus i just hate guns. i'm sticking to what i said.

by the way i'm not naive, just innocent.
