Comics The Official ROGUE Discussion Thread

You do know which scene I was referring to, right?? :woot:

I sincerely doubt the Southern Belle would wake up anytime soon from that kind of blast. ;)

Psssht...

ROGUE IS UNSTOPPABLE. SHE IS MOST AWESOME.

She rocks the **** out of the lawn.

See, gals, a Rogue fan with a sense of humor regarding how much uber/ROXOR Rogue is. :D

*kicks CanCan*

Yes, I have a sense of humor about hte whole thing...

BECAUSE SHE'S JUST A CHARACTER. Who and what she is changes with every new writer, artist, title...

There is never any gaurantee that a character you love will stay the same AWESOME character they were under certain people's ministrations. I like the overall character of Rogue, but tehre are certain periods of time where I did not like the way she was being drawn/written.

I blame the production team when I don't like what's being done, not the character. Certain people regularly character assassinate characters either by not knowing their history/personality or just because they want to SHOCK readers.

Now, while I will enthusisastically laugh at how Carey gave Rogue a push, I'll go with Queen and be the first to admit that writers/editors taking the x-diva thing waaaayyyy too literally didn't help the character at all.

*gives CanCan another kick*

Someone needed to give Rogue a push. After the junk they put she and Gambit through, they had to do something.

You need a diva to keep up with Emma's ego.

I wish Rogue still had hte MM powers so we could get the answer of if Rogue were to beat her long enough, would she shatter in her diamond form. Why? Just because

Wait, I make a comment that can be construed as "OMG, ROGUE BASHING!!! EVIL!!" and HE gets kicked??? ROTFLMAO. :woot:

Push is good. But one that takes ONE issue and is cemented by her picking an INSANE team doesn't exactly qualify as such.

Yeah, but the thing is people tell Emma off. Often. Even if she's not actually wrong. Which is, ya know, the exact opposite of how x-divas are treated. :cwink:

I agree, she's just a character, but she seems to be doing something
right by having all these boys posting replies like headless chickens
left and right :cwink:

HOw many times will we have to...??

Look, any complaints about the character's persona? All about her.

But the leader thingy? It's the bloody premise. Trust me on this one, we wouldn't be cheering if Wolvie was made to be a team leader and brought 4 villains along for the ride.

Darth, I have no problem with that at all.
I actually don't want her to be leader, but being that she is,
I wouldn't mind it for a while. You don't thrash her as bad as others:oldrazz:

Probably what it will end up being. Somehow I get this feeling her and Sam will play a game of 'who's to blame' for the Creed thingy in #200.

Eh. I don't have a problem with the pissed off amazon thingy.

It's just the 'let's turn her into a playground bully to have another Storm around' thingy that really ticks me off.

Which is fine, I mean you are entitled to feel the way you do.
You don't seem to be very bias which is a good thing.
I also wouldn't wanna see Rogue as a bug bully, but I'm sure
there is a way of still making her a bad ass w/o having
her boast or be vain in the books.
Also, why would you think her & Sam will clash?
Didn't he have a little discussion w/ Scott about that
before they headed to the Conquistador to battle the COTV?
Sam seemed pretty content w/ her decisions, which he defended
while talking to Cyke. Also, I don't see why she would blame him
for anything that had to do w/ Creed.

I didn't mean actual clashing.

I meant more like Sam going "Damnit, I shouldn't have left him alone on the ship" and Rogue going "Nah, it was my idea to begin with."

For some strange reason, I have a feeling they won't even address it.
It almost seems as if they've completely forgot about Creed

Who in their right mind thought they would? A man-made virus designed to wipe out mutants being taken out of safe containment and carried around while the remaining 198 mutants on earth are clustered together nearby.

:whatever:

So as I was saying, what exactly is going to happen to Creed?
Is he popping up in another book?
