How many people said that it WOULD NOT be 156 minutes? I told them...I told them...but NO "the most it will be is 140 minutes". It won't go beyond that!

And, now, look. Just wait until May 4th when we find out Sandman didn't kill Uncle Ben. Sigh...that would just make my year.

^156 would include credits and intro which is more than 10 minutes. So it comes out to about what I said it would be...around 2:20-2:25 for movie only. Sounds great to me.

movietickets.com has the running time listed as 156 minutes also, this web site has never posted an erronerous running time, and they wait for official word...if this isnt confirmation, then i dont know what is.

Well, AOL lists it as 156 minutes, and aol is a pretty reliable and official source..

Could you imagine if Raimi made a bad choice and SANDMAN REALLY DID KILL UNCLE BEN?!?

There are sites saying that it's gonna be 145 mins...so that is 2 hours and 25 minutes...that seems more plausible than 156 mins. which is 2 hours and 36 mins.

Yeah, but those are cinema websites and those ALL vary from 140 to 160 minutes...

IMDB(which many people refused to believe), Moviefone(which is an AOL website and not likely to be wrong), and Movietickets(something that only goes off of confirmed running times) ALL say 156 minutes. They're all far more accurate than the cinema websites. Sorry, bub, but it's 156 minutes.

Move on.

the 1st one was 121 min...and the second was 126 min i think...so 156 min would be a perfect time...it's long enough 4 us fans...but not to long so the general audience won't get bored...156 min=perfect time!

Well the AICN revies said its over 2 and a half hours so the 156 is more than likely the time.

According to the FSK (it's the german MPAA) the runtime is 139 minutes.

^ I just logged on to say the same thing beeing said from my local theater!.... I send an email asking them how they could confirm the running time to be 2 HRS. & 19 MIN. when fact of the matter is that not even SONY-STUDIOS has given out an official length for the picture!!! They replied back amost emidietly, saying that they DID get the official word from SONY!!! Could this than be true??? Is the running time really 2 HRS. & 19 MIN!?

well alot of sources say otherwise, but in the end its still a really long movie so all is great.

Plus the aicn review said it was 2 and a half hours, but he could have been guessing based off what it felt like, hard to know for sure.

I have a question for you guys. I've never been to an Imax theatre, and I'm planning on going for the first time for SpiderMan 3. My question is, should I see SpiderMan for the first time in an Imax or a regular theatre? Cause people told me you kinda feel uncomfortable after 2 hours in the Imax, you're like looking up or something, I don't know. I wanted to know what do you recommend :/

When I went to go see "Batman Begins" and I didn't fell uncomfortable or look up.

So, I don't think it'll be bad.

I saw 300 in IMAX and I got a headache. I guess it depends on the person.

If I could see every movie in Imax I would, especially summer blockbuster SFX bonanzas. Definitely go for the Imax.

Even though I would have HOPED for a 2hrs.&36min. SM-3 flick, I dont think it's gonna happen sadly... EVERY THEATER over here has the film listed at 2hrs.&19min. (and the movie premiers over here a day earlier than in the US!) I wrote to ALL the theaters (8 to be exact) claiming an answer to where the heck they got their running-time information from, when not even SONY had said anything about it yet!!!... They all replied that they DID get the information from SONY!.... Just wanted to tell you guys.
