The Official Spider-Man 3 Runtime thread!

Yeah IMDB or who ever was saying 2 hours 36 min., 156 minutes. Which is most likely the running time at most theaters with the pre-show, trailers, etc.

2 hours 20 minutes is most likely the actual running time of the film.

That's like as long as Superman Returns, (without credits, SR is like 2 hours and 26 minutes).

So, may I say...holy dang.

X-men 3 tried to cram even more in a 95 minute running time.

The movie was trash.

Sad compared to the quality of the other films before it. With the running time we have the last thing this film will be is crammed.:word:

Spider-Man 3 is not a war epic though, lol...

I'd rather have Spider-Man 3 be 2 hours and 20 minutes (which it is by the way) than have a 2 hour and 36 mins. movie...I say if it's longer than Superman Returns, it's not necessary.

i work in cinema in edinburgh scotland and we have spider-man 3 clocking in at 2 hrs 45 mins

i keep hearing 140 and i think that is about right

Guys, the films running time is 2 HOURS & 19 MINUTES!..... Live with it... it has been confirmed by the -British Board of Film Classification-.... There's nothing more to discuss!

Bah I got tired of reading all those running times. Only 14 days left to find out for sure.

D!

Well, two and a half hours of Spidey is not the same as two and a half hours of Supes. Supes had, what, 3 "fight" scenes? Spidey has something like 7 major action scenes. Not saying action makes a movie good, I'm just sayin...

Well if you compare SM3 and SR in terms of action sequences...the more the better. At least Spidey will be fighting someone...and not a giant island. Bring on the action scenes!:woot:

On DVD the PAL release of the film will be 4% shorter than the Region 1 version (well technically the NTSC version).

The picture quality on the PAL version will be better too, such is the vagaries of putting a 24 fps format into 50Hz and 60Hz.

Who cares? We'll be getting a Blu-Ray version when it comes out anyway.

I think even in the new HD formats that the whole 60hz/50hz thing applies.

(although I am open to correction)

Mine has it listed as 140 minutes. It is on 6 screens which equals 30 showings of SM3 in one day! That's a freaking record.
