Very little if I recall. But, in the first issue of the I am an Avenger mini series, we learn that [blackout]her pregnancy was just a phantom pregnancy, and not real, and she and Iron Fist have broken up because of it.[/blackout] That was more of a lead up to the Heroes for Hire book.

Oh I know that. I was just wondering if the Shadowland Mini dealt with any sort of lead in to her finding out it was a phantom pregnancy.

How popular exactly is Emma Frost with X-Fans & general Marvel fans?

That's kinda hard to quantify. There are a few vocal Jean lovers still hatin' here and there. I think for the most part people kinda like her.

Yeah, it depends who you talk to. Some like her quite a bit and think she fits in very well with the X-Men. Others hate her guts and want her killed off in the most gruesome way possible.

Quite a few people that fall into that indifferent, or just kinda like or dislike but not enough to comment on it every five seconds.

Thought I'd ask. I wonder sometimes how many characters get screen time because they're truly popular and how many get screen time based on being favorites of the writer(s).

I dont hate her. I just hate how much focus she's gotten in recent years. The push she's had is kinda ridiculous

Emma's push has gone a little too far, if you ask me. I have no problem with her being the big bad headmistress who rules the student body with a diamond fist and an all-white wardrobe. I don't even care that she's Scotty's girlfriend. I'm just sick of seeing writers portray her as one of the leaders of mutantkind.

One of the benefits of sleeping with the actual leader of mutantkind, I guess.

Emma needs to be hung, drawn and quartered. Then glued together, resurrected and the process repeated.

There aren't any mutant fatties anymore. The ones with fat powers lost them, and the ones who were just plain fat like Toad are just no longer fat.

Heh, yeah.

The Sentry also seems to get a good bit of push, yet I see a lot of complaints on line by fans who don't like him and honestly I think he's kind of lame. I've only met like one guy who absolutely loves the Sentry, but then again he complains that Nolan's Batman is too much of a thug while also saying Frank Miller's All-star Batman & RObin is the greatest Batman book of all time & his personal favorite so I don't take him very seriously.

Will Janet Van Dyne ever get her shot at resurrection in our lifetime(s)?

Well, there's always Big Bertha.

Well, to be fair, Sentry had a push in the sense that Bendis dug him up from obscurity, ruined him, then killed him off.

As I was saying...
