Magneto told his story to Cyclops and a few other X-Men when they were on an island in the Caribbean together. Back in the 70's, don't know the issue number.

Why is Captain America in a weird new black outfit?
I just started fear itself without reading a lot of what leads up to it and I'm wondering about this look.

No, this;

Ohhh, well, first of all, that's blue.

Secondly, Cap ain't Cap right now, Bucky is. (Well, was. :( )He's just Captain Steve Rogers, head of what used to be SHIELD.

Hah, and apparently Red Hulk is an Avenger, sheesh, I shouldn't just skip a year of comics!

Yeah.

You do know that Steve "died" right? Well, he came back (As superheroes so often do) but he didn't want to take the mantle back from Buck cuz he was being all awesome as Cap, so, Obama made him head of the Initiative. You know, that 50 state sponsored super teams and all that stuff he fought against during the Civil War. First thing he did was dump the mandatory registration, offered to train superheroes free of charge without having to give up their identities, and set up some new teams and s**t. He basically moved to the background for a year. Of course.....now you know reading Fear Itself, [blackout]Buck just got beat to death with his own arm, so, Stevesie will be taking up the mantle again.[/blackout]

I'd read all of civil war, reborn, dark reign, but I was only 3 chapters into Fear Itself, no biggie, I don't get too upset over comic spoilers since nothing sticks anyways.

Sounds all pretty good, thanks for the answer.

Sorry, figured everybody knew that. I'll toss some spoiler tags up or whatevs.

Commander Steve Rogers, actually.

Whatever.

Guess he'll be [blackout]Demoted[/blackout] after Fear Itself.

Basically. Although, technically, "commander" is not even a rank in the army and "captain" was already a pretty low officer level. I always wondered why he was never bumped up to Colonel America or even General America. He did function like a colonel more than anything else in the war; he'd show up on the scene and instantly take command of whatever allied forces were around but still be out in the field alongside them.

Bc none of that sounds as good as Captain America. I couldnt imagine calling him General America

Steve is suffering from a bad case of Battlestar Galactica Ranks. He's given titles that sound cool despite them never making any sense.

And Doctor Doom got kicked out of school so...

Nobody believes that Dr. Dre is a real doctor. Captain America can be called Captain if he wants. I'd still let him preside over my wedding.

:D

:cap: :cap: :cap:

Doctor Doom's name is double BS, because not only was he kicked out of school before earning his doctorate, but his name would still be Doctor von Doom.

Colonel America makes him sound like he should be running around yelling "The South Rise"! :funny:

Major Mapleleaf out ranks all the Captain Americas, Captain Britain ect
then:funny:

There should be a south american superhero called Senoir America.

Major Mapleleaf wouldn't outrank Colonel America, though. Plus, I hear Colonel America makes some damn fine fried chicken. Bonus! :awesome:

I can't remember the last time I read a good story with Storm. Any suggestions? New or old, I don't care.

I remember a story where Storm was bitten by Dracula and became a vampire. She drank Forge's blood so she didn't have to turn others. I can't remember what the issues where but you can probably Googley it ;)

X-men: Worlds Apart was a good one. It was a mini from a couple of years ago that resolved the issue of her being Queen of Wakanda and member of the X-men. Too bad the developments of that series was basically ignored within the books and she went back to background material

I have not read a story with the Hulk in a long time. Does anyone know why Bruce Banner is no longer the focus with the Hulks? It seems Ross is and then I read they are cancelling Incredible Hulks.
