Still probably never gonna read it. Here are three (of several) reasons why:

1) I hate Mike Deodato's art.
2) I hate Norman Osborn.
3) I hate the Dark Avengers (except Ares, but I hate that he stoops to working alongside pissant little mortals like Osborn).

Deodato only drew the final chapter oneshot. Dodson drew Uncanny with Luke Ross taking over Dark Avengers. I think Silvestri drew the first chapter which was also a oneshot

As for 2 and 3, well they were outsmarted by the X-men and got their butts kicked and knocked down a peg, which was a joy to see at the time since they were running around like they ruled the MU

I asked the question about Gwen Stacy being utilized in Amazing Spiderman the other day but I jus found this so Im guessing she's being used in Spider-Men

Has Peter met her yet? What was his reaction?

Probably something like, "WHOA! YOU'RE TOTALLY DEAD IN MY WORLD! I'M SO HAPPY TO SEE YOU (AND NOT BE MARRIED ANYMORE)!"

:awesome:

Issue 3 of Spider-Men ends with him running into her. So we won't see the full blown reactions til issue 4. It's surprisingly been an enjoyable book even though the premise is cliched and they said they would never ever do this type of thing.

Makes me wanna read more about Miles kinda.

Sorry, I wasn't aware of this because I ignore all things Ultimate.:o

Ultimate Gwen was assimilated by the 1st Ultimate Carnage, so perfectly, that when Ultimate Doctor Octopus recreated Ultimate Carnage (2.0), it still had Ultimate Gwen's genetic material. Ultimate Gwen was cured when Ultimate Venom 2.0 extracted all of the Ultimate Carnage out of her. According to Ultimate Iron Man, she is a perfect duplicate of the original Ultimate Gwen, so much so that she's "not a clone", but in escense (I HATE not having Spelll Check) is just Ultimate Gwen through and through.

Still don't know how that somehow doesn't make her a clone, but whateves.

ULTIMATE! :awesome:

Ugh, I am SOOOO glad I stopped reading that s**t. :o

I kinda liked that part, especially when Gwen tries to go back to school but the principle isn't having it. Then Ultimatum happened and nothing seemed to matter anymore.

It was stolen from The Guyver (manga) where Sho (the Guyver) has his control medal ripped out, which causes his living space armor (totally not a symbiote :o) to crush him and burn him into goop, but then the control medal regrows a whole new Guyver suit with a whole new Sho inside who is essentially "just Sho reborn, totally NOT a clone somehow :o"

:o

I thought of it like this: Ultimate Carnage attacked Gwen and...consumed her. It seemed like she was dead, but they actually...merged. Then they separated. And Gwen was back to normal. (There's still the duplicate thing, which...whatever.)

Except usually when you merge with something, you don't leave something's corpse behind.

I quit reading USM around when Gwen died. I'm so very glad I never started reading it again.

Is it just me, or did Wolverine 309 come out after Wolverine 310 this month?

thats bc it did

Whats the deal with the Dark Avengers? Thunderbolts got renamed Dark Avengers v2, but what changed on the inside? Did the Thunderbolts become the new DA or does the book feature a new lineup? Are the new Dark Avengers affiliated with the real Avengers at all? Who's on the team?

The T-Bolts are still trapped in time while the Dark Avengers have taken their place in the present. So both teams are featured. It's pretty much the same book and same story that Thunderbolts was, just some new characters mixed in.

Has Lady Sif ever had a miniseries to spotlight her the way Balder the Brave once did (back during the Walt Simonson run of the 80s)?

Nope, just a one-shot a few years ago. Where she was dressed like a stripper on the cover. :o
