I pretty sure he has control of his powers in the books now, but had anyone ever considered ruby quartz contacts?

I'm pretty sure they're a thing. I read one of the Marvel X-Men novels a few years back where he uses them for a while but says they're really uncomfortable since they'd need to be pretty big.

He had control of his powers briefly during Joss Whedon's run on Astonishing X-Men, but he hasn't since. In fact, ever since Bendis took over, his powers have been "broken" so he has even less control than before.

Also, contacts are a pain to get out fast so it would be a lot easier to just keep the glasses on in case something came up and if one fell out then everyone would be in trouble. :p

I pretty sure he has control of his powers in the books now, but had anyone ever considered ruby quartz contacts?

and how would he put them on? Think about it. Contacts are pretty tiny. Any attempt to put something that delicate in his eyes, would be destroyed as he'd blast them off his finger. The only feasible way I can see him doing it successfully was if he were to use a power dampener to deactivate his powers but in that case, it would make having contacts moot

The ruby quartz disperses the energy from his eyes into a harmless form no matter how thin. The big problem would be putting them in at all since he'd either need to be outside looking up or at more ruby quartz.

Im just a casual Avengers reader but in the comics how in the hell did Scarlet Witch and Vision hook up, I mean isn't the dude an android or something?

He's not an android, he's a synthetic being. Kinda like (and possibly even made from a temporal copy of, but who knows what's cannon anymore.) the original Human Torch. He's built just like a human. Only all his parts aren't made of man meat. Anyway, his brain was based off of the brain engrams (whatever the f**k that is) of one Simon Williams, aka Wonder Man, who was in love with Wanda but alas, too shy to tell her how he felt. Well, he was kinda dead by the time Viz showed up, and Wanda kinda sorta had a thing for Wonder Man too, but he never pursued her, and of course, he's kinda dead. She found that Viz kinda reminded her of Simon. After awhile though, due to his own experiences and his whole...well....weird family structure, he developed his own personality. Which she fell in luff with, and things went from there.

Long story short, he's got a wang and it vibrates.

Questions regarding Secret Wars (keep in mind, I haven't read all of New Avengers, so sorry if this comes up there).

1. Why exactly does two Earth's intersecting destroy the entire universe? Is it because two masses are trying to occupy the same space and that causes a chain reaction? Or is it because Earth is apparently the center of the universe (feels like DC a little) and destroying it destroys everything else?

2. If Earth is the center of the universe and destroying it in incursions does destroy everything else, would that mean every time Galactus or someone tried to destroy Earth, they would have destroyed existence? Irrelevant question if that's not why the universe dies.

3. How long has Doom known about the incursions? Did he find out after that one in Latveria, or has he known? And if so, how did he buy himself time?

4. If Molecule Man is tied to the reason Earth's are destroyed, is he why Earth is the center of the universe? Is he the real center? How does his destruction relate to an incursion and how they work?

5. Why is 616 the only universe that's gotten as far ahead of the track as the others (except Reed in the Ultimate)? Did Doom or Molecule Man just get lucky and decide to get rid of everyone else? Seems weird that no other Doom or Molecule Man or something decided to do the same thing.

I like the story so far, just trying to work out the details, and until I can read the rest of Hickman's stuff, this will have to do.

Wasn't there a running gag at one point that Wanda would fall for any strapping, good looking guy who happened to walk by?

Good questions....

I'm just waiting for events to blow over before I read them. I just read Original Sin the other day in one sitting and found it kind of meh.

Did we ever find out why Kitty Pryde never appeared on the 90s X-Men cartoon?

She was being punished for Pryde of the X-men.

Hah!

I'd just assume they had Jubilee so the 'young inexperienced mutant girl who hangs around with Wolverine' slot was filled.

I actually enjoyed how weird Pryde of the X-Men was despite the dumbass plot and the mistakes they made.

...my opinion of course, but it also gave us the best X-Men game ever!

side note: Weren't the X-Men Destiny characters supposed to debut in the comics? Did that ever happen? Was it another Imperfects?

So has anyone heard of the amazing thing called Flyclops? It needs to be canon now please.

that doesnt explain why she never even made at least a cameo. Even Rachel Summers did

So...anyone know why there aren't any Spider-Gwen solicitations past 5? Is the series being cancelled and I just missed the news?

What are some good stories focusing on Silver Sable?

I read a lot of Marvel comics but to this day I have no idea what Gamora power limits are. Does she stand any chance of beating Wonder Woman? If not, who's power level is she compared to in the DC universe? Same thing for Adam Warlock.

To be a stupid question thread, no one seems to ever answer a question! :argh:

Gamora got enhanced by Thanos due to getting nearly killed a whole bunch so she's got the whole bionic woman thing going on, stronger, faster, more durable and a replaced bone structure (unless that got removed later on). She's also a highly trained assassin so while she can take on pretty powerful people if she gets hit she goes down like most others. Against Wonder Woman no chance unless she sneak attacks or has some sort of super-powered advantage. She's taken on several other lower powered SPBs at the same time though if the Infinity War books are anything to go by.

Adam Warlock is just weird and hard to pin down. He's been acknowledged by several of the universes odder entities like Chaos and Order, Eon and Galactus as being someone who is outside of the basic causality of the universe meaning he's beyond the usual rules of fate, destiny and all that stuff. He's pretty good at various magics, has died a whole bunch and come back, wielded the Infinity Gauntlet several times, had at least two evil versions of himself from alternate timelines try to kill him even though they admitted they were directly spawned from him (I think, like I said he is really confusing). He's pretty much the only one Thanos considers to be a friend because they understand each other so much and are a lot alike more than they'd rather admit.

Considering he's convinced Galactus and the other entities to help him on several occasions meaning they consider him worthy of their respect means he's pretty high on the power scale but he has his own limitations that are vague and ill-defined.

Thanks Kevan. You are THAT dude! I never understand Adam Warlock. People talk like he's all powerful but he's never really shown it. I have read books of him in Quasar, Silver Surfer and some more Marvel cosmic books but to this day I have no idea why he's considered so powerful.
