I still like to see Michael Fassbender given a chance.

Wow, really? He kind of looks like he would play the character spin-off of a Green Goblin or something, not Superman. He looks very old, has a terrible jawline and is not attractive whatsoever. I believe the character and look of Superman atleast needs to be somewhat appealing. That guy is anything BUT appealing.

I've warmed up to Joe M. I want him to be cast. He has the potential to be the next best thing.

He's not my top choice for Supes or anything (my #1 dream pick for Green Arrow, actually), but he's a fine candidate, Magneto or not.

"Pretty recent" as in, over 3 years old, back when he was still beefy, imo. He didn't get lean until True Blood came along, and to me, he didn't look like Supes 'till he got lean.

I find Joe M.'s nose distracting but I do have faith that Snyder will find someone visually balanced for the film. If Joe aced his screentest and is approved by Snyder and Nolan that would be fine with me. That goes for any of the mentioned actors. Welling's nose distracts me too.

IMHO, he's not Superman-attractive. He has very thick facial features and I don't think he'd look great in the suite because his complex in his face just wouldn't scream Superman. I see more of a Green Goblin or a Ollie in him.
