He looks teenaged in Action Comics. It works for me.

Disappointed to see the beginning of Justice League is the middle of All-Star Batman, but with attack helicopters.

I'm not seeing All Star Batman and Robin with this. While Batman appears to be a tad bit more brutal, he doesn't come off as psychotic and seems a bit more restrained. The tone to this appears to be more serious as opposed to All Star Batman and Robin which had no idea which tone to take.

As for his dialog with Green Lantern, it goes along with Geoff Johns' portrayal of the Batman/Green Lantern relationship back in Green Lantern: Rebirth where Batman complains about Green Lantern exposing them due to his bright ring.

Geoff Johns: doing nothing original since 2008.

Geoff Johns: doing nothing original since 2008.

Considering that Batman and Green Lantern are not getting rebooted, why would Johns change the relationship between the two characters, especially during their earliest encounters?

If anything, he's being consistent with this one. And rightfully so. The antagonism between Bruce Wayne and Hal Jordan is rather interesting IMO. So much better than when writers attempt to create an antagonistic relationship between Batman and Superman.

I don't want him to change their relationship. But using the exact same "you're too bright, stop shining your light so everybody can see us" thing twice is just lazy.

Plus they are getting reboots. No matter what they say. The simple fact that a large portion of the DCU doesn't even exist anymore and the Heroes only being public for 5 years ensures that.

A lot of stuff is still in, but a lot of other stuff is out. Especially for GL.

No JSA which ties into pretty much all the old school heroes. Freedom Fighters, All-Star Squadron. Etc. The Titans are just starting up so no Titans and of course all the stuff that ties into that. Maybe they'll add some stuff in later, like this boos**t Mr. Terrific stuff. But it wont be the same. :(

Grant Morrison talks on SDCC11

- Batman: Leviathan begins in January 2012.
- You will cry, you will cry alot promises Morrison.
- Freddy Freeman, Mary, and the lieutenant Marvels will be in Multiversity.
- Grant: "I do have ideas for Wonder Woman. When I wrote Supergods and got into what Marston was trying to do, I didn't understand it, but I'd like to find some way to update it."
- New Gods are reborn in Earth 51 which also shows in Multiversity.
- Morrison has a Flash story in mind he wants to tell, he had talked to Dan Didio about doing Earth One Flash, but it's a single story, grounded and it's about 1 thing happening to 1 person or so.
- Once Cameron Stewart is done with the single issue of Batman incorporated he's moving onto Thunderworld, the "All Star Captain Marvel" issue of Multiversity.
- How does Morrison get inside the heads of freaks like Pyg? We all have that dark side in us he responses, kinda true when you think about it.
- "Professor Pyg I though, all these Batman rogues are supposed to be crazy, but I wanted him to sound ACTUALLY schizophrenic." - Morrison
- How did Morrison come up with Simon Hurt? His response: Morrison "I wanted to see Batman against the Devil, didn't have to be literal, just the idea of a devil. So it started out with Batman beats the Devil, then I created the lore behind him."
- Simon Hurt will NOT make an appearence by Morrison in Inc/Leviathan, he's told his story with him.
- No All-Star Superman follow up planned, but Action Comics has some of the same chords as thats showing us how Superman becomes a great hero like he was in All Star
- Regarding Action Comics: "They're playing up more of the Kryptonian stuff at the other title, but mine is about the farmboy in the city, and Clark Kent is doing as much work on fighting social injustice as Superman is."
- Superman will never be as brooding as Batman for Morrison. Superman has lost billions of people and he still smiles today. Batman's still crying for his mommy and daddy.
- "So my Superman will be a pro-active, young, powerful guy. It's Action Comics, so Superman has to be doing stuff!"
- "He's only darker in the sense that he gets stuff done. he's no longer a friend of the law, he stands for Justice, and that may conflict with the law sometimes."
- Fan asks if we will see more of Scarlet, Morrison's response was that he won't be writing her atleast.
- Morrison feels the Damian and Dick dynamic should have lasted longer, but they're making the departure and Dick going Nightwing into something that works and is believable.
- Batman: Leviathan is about Bruce and Damian, Morrison once again promises that you will cry, alot.
- Regarding Batman and Action Comics: "Batman's kinda a puzzle book for me. I set out to tell puzzle stories with secrets and solutions. Action is more about forward momentum."
- "It always starts with something, like the Ouroboros in Batman Inc, and it spins out into different things."
- Action Comics is set in the past for 6 issues, in #7 we get back to "modern" and then at times it jumps back and forth in the timeline.
- Morrison really likes the Batman the Brave and Bold spin-off comic.
- Action Comics is more about the tone of Golden Age era heroes without any specific storylines from then.
- Fan asks Morrison's thoughts on why Batman films > Superman right now, his response: Morrison "Batman's cooler and has money and is around femme fatales. I certainly think the anti-authoritarian Superman is coming back, we might see a Superman that's a bit more relatable."

Who is Scarlet? That can't be the one I'm thinking of.

Haha yeah i thought of the Bendis character 1st too. Scarlet was Jason Todd's sidekick for that 1 arc. :) Judd Winnick recently used her in Batman and Robin.

Oh, yeah. She was one of those girls who got all pyged up, but Jason got to her before she became mindless or something. Wow, I didn't even remember her having a name :o

And Winick ruined her happy ending.

The Batman and Superman news is very, very good though.

Courtesy of the New York Daily News, here's two pages from the new Superman #1 in which Clark meets Lois' new boyfriend.

Annnnnd...I think I'll let the fail speak for itself here. Other than to say maybe those "Superman hooks up with Wonder Woman" rumors may essentially be rooted in a "brooding loner" Clark (ugh!) getting back at the, once again, all-too clueless Lois for "rejecting" him when she decided to shack up with an all-too obvious *****ebag...who, of course, she'll end up dumping in less than a year. Way to alienate your readers and Superman fans alike here, DC.

Oh you

Also 'all pyged up' has just made me picture a reality show starring Professor Pyg. It would be called 'Pyg my ride' and it would be crazy

And Winick ruined her happy ending.
.

:csad:

And he did that because

I feel sorry for Clark already!! :csad:

I find the idea of Lois Lane ****ing some shirtless blonde guy to be quite unsettling. I feel as if this is adultery plane and simple, and I do not accept it. It reminds me of High Fidelity, where John Cusack speaks of how wrong it would feel to have anybody but Rocky having sex with Adrian. This is the same thing to a much higher degree.

but how is it adultery??

in the relaunch, Clark and Lois have never been married.

The whole thing doesn't bother me as much as I'm sure it does others, but you can just tell it's something they're throwing out there to rile up fans and over sentimentality. Eh, whatever. Definitely a pretty weak attempt, in my opinion, to really present the first look of Supes' new direction and status quo, but I'm sure fans are going nuts at messageboards across the world like DC wants.

I wonder if Superman is going to be getting a new love interest as well now that he and Lois wont be together

Lois can do so much better :ninja:

That's why he said it "feels like Adultery". Even though he's well aware that it's not.

Still. If you went to an alternate universe where your mom and dad weren't married, wouldn't you be a little weirded out if you saw your mom slobbing down some *****e bag in a bar?

Pretty much.

The drama Clark experiences in the partial reboot echoes Peter Parker. If DC's solution to "Grandpa's Superman" is Super Spider-Man...then I have mixed feelings.

Doesn't help that Lois' boyfriend comes from the Maximum *****e section of Popped Collars United.

Well, to be fair, Spidey never really had that kinda problem with the ladies. They were all fighting over him.

Yep that would be kind of creepy :csad:

I am pretty sure though that Lois's new boyfriend will turn out to be evil and or a dbag and she will end up getting together with Clark
