I mean, the whole direct market thing is dying. I think that's almost a given, as it's been kind of limping along for the last couple of years anyway. That time is slowly coming to an end, at least as an exclusive target for companies. But will that kill the entire medium of comics? I just don't see that at all. I think comics may become like prose or drama, something that people will always do even if the audiences and significance they held change in years. They'll always be people who write, draw and act on the stage, and people to read, admire and watch that in some capacity, just taking the seat it's given with evolving times.
I might be wrong I guess, but I think comics will be something that's always around in some form.
