Swamp Thing #1 confirmed Superman died at one point. He's also been the electric Superman, since that costume is in the Fortress in Action Comics #13.

I wonder if he still wrestled a f**king Bull Angel.....

You guys see the letter the daughter of Siegel released?

God I hope so. I feel that Morrison includes all of continuity, regardless of what DC brass says (see: Batman Inc.). His JLA run was epic and deserves to be part of canon.

Also, I saw the preview cover art of one of the upcoming Action issues...it's got Superman and what looks like angels! Could we be seeing the return of Zauriel?

I don't agree with the statement in your signature. For Clark Kent to be a true critique of the entire human race we would have to see him be petty and evil at times. Clark Kent does not display the malice that humans can have.

It's a quote from Kill Bill Vol. II, and is an interpretation of what Silver Age Clark Kent represents (bumbling, not confident, blue suit, white shirt and a red tie). It's not my favorite version of Clark, but the quote has a nice ring to it. After all, it is Tarantino.

Haha, I DOES show Superman Blue's Suit! That is crazy. Who the heck even spotted that though?

I haven't read Swamp Thing, how does it reference Superman's Death?

I don think you can really count the Action Comics thing as Morrison believes EVERYTHING is in continuity.

^ Alec comes back from the dead, Superman talks to him and says he's been through the same thing.

The animated movie based on Johns' Brainiac arc has been officially announced as Superman: Unbound.

I'm loving Action Comics, Superman and Supergirl. I just can't get into superboy (it's a Teen Titans tie-in mess). I hear about a time travel thing coming up. Do I have to read Superboy to be in the know in regards to 52 continuity?

This legal bs threatens to split Superman right down the middle and possibly even ruin the past as well as the future of Superman. Who's to say back issues of the comics or movies or cartoons won't fall into legal limbo because DC and the Seigel estate can't come to an agreement? For years Fox couldn't release the Batman tv series on DVD because of a dispute with WB. Same thing with the Superboy series. What happens to, for example, Superman: The Movie when you have a movie that contains intellectual property owned by two different entities that are at each other's throats? Will it be on tv or Blu-Ray ever again?

Won't Superman become a part of the public domain in like 20 years anyway?

I don't know how that all works exactly but I've read that there are things that could prevent that from happening.

That's the problem with the whole legal battle...none of us laymen really know what we're talking about, so it always ends up being just pointless supposition and fear mongering.

Disney prevented Mickey Mouse from falling into Public Domain, DC whom will have sent cyborg Ninja assassins to kill the last of the siegels will not let Bats or Supes fall there.

Even if the families tried to produce their own Superman books, who would read them? Popular and iconic elements of the comics are still owned by WB. The only shot they would have at getting serious interest is if they do a deal with Marvel. Introducing the original Superman into the Marvel Universe would create buzz.

At this point, I think all they want is more money from DC.

Eh, I think their lawyer wants to see it through. Doesn't he stand to gain partial rights to Superman?
