I wonder what they'll do with AC after Morrison leaves. Will it just become a companion to Superman or are they going to keep Morrison's setup of exploring various other parts/eras of Superman's life...

That's not happening. He's got a pretty decent gig with controlling everything Avenger. Judging how DC works I'm going to assume that a 90's Marvel writer will take over.

Where did you see that? Last night Jeff Lemire was tweeting about how excited he was to write a mystery book and Scott Snyder said he knew about the project and joined in his excitement... Maybe it's Action?

I can't think of anyone at DC right now that would be a slam dunk on the book

the best they could do is take a risk and put someone like mieville or fialkov on it

or fire idleson

I was just joking. I'm hoping Lemire gets the book. He could probably do some amazing past Clark stuff and he's no slouch in kooky sci-fi.

Frankenstein reached Morrison levels of bizarre at times but Lemire just confirmed on twitter that he isn't taking over.

Yeah definitely. I am only reading it online though and issues come on every other month. Not interested in Batman Beyond or Justice League Beyond. But I'm intrigued by Lex's daughter.

Mark Waid, Joe Casey or Kelly. Sigh, not of my choices are noting going to happen. I don't what current DC writer could fill up the book with so much unbridled heroism and hope like Morrison did. I can Lemire doing something rather unique with the book. I would see an Essex County style Superman story done by him.

I agree with this. His backups have been great reads and he'd keep a consistent tone with Morrisons run since he's so intimately familiar with it.
