Ummmm, Supes traveled through time all the time dude. He's a Superhero.

Time travel is as classic a Superhero cliche as stopping a bank robbery or getting into a fight with another Superhero over a silly misunderstanding.

Sounds to me like you're just looking for an excuse to complain.....or you don't read a whole lot of superhero comics.

Or you know its a terrible, hackneyed trope that removes all narrative tension and it needs to be retired.

Oh I agree. Johns leaving the Superman titles really hurt that because the whole New Krypton thing was suppose to be his baby and his mark on Superman and then he ups and leaves the titles of both Action and Adventure. It really hurt the how things were suppose to turn out IMO. Then War of the Supermen was done poorly as well. Had Johns stayed and saw things through I think things would have been much different.

This issue was awesome, very good. I was actually moved. My pup was at my feet as I read. Very good writing. Also it was cool figuring out who was in the Phantom Zone and who was saying what.
