What gets me about the trunks thing is fans complain about Superman having trunks, but never about Batman having them.

It's odd considering that it should be the other way around. Batman's suit has so much going on with it already that he doesn't need the trunks and honestly, I do agree with the "dated" arguments when it comes to the trunks on Batman. But Superman on the other hand really needs the trunks. Like badly.

I liked the New 52 Superman suit, though not every artist could make it work. It was a good updated of the suit. I hope whatever comes next is as good or better.

And no trunks please. Don't care how manly they are.

Even without the trunks debate, the New 52 costume is just bad. I'm fine with the alien origin, but there are too many lines in a desperate attempt to make it look like armor. Something like the Man of Steel suit material would have worked much better for an alien origin suit. And why does Superman need armor to begin with. He's ****ing Superman!

Also I hate the neck line, I hate the \S/, I hate the sleeves, I hate the boots, and I hate the black \S/ on the cape. It's just a bad costume in so many ways.

As for Superman's New 52 suit looking like armor, well, it was designed on Krypton under a red son, so it was probably made for non-super powered Kryptonian use in mind.

DesignSpark sent a Superman action figure to the edge of space and back for Mattel Toys Italy.

I absolutely love Frank's Superman. Superman's physique is just absolutely perfect the way Frank draws him.

I liked his physique, but I never cared for the face. Sure Christopher Reeve just naturally looked like Superman, but when you change the drawings of Superman to look like Chris Reeve, it strangely looks less like Superman, imo.

With the February solicitation showing him in his normal N52 suit, i kind of assume that any "new costume" in the january issue will be temporary. A stand-in suit to be warn for whatever reason the story gives us. I am trying to stay optimistic though. Some of us are holding onto hope that DC is just intentionally keeping us in the dark because they don't want to give it away yet. I also saw that February's issue will have 5 alternate covers so maybe the cover where he has his normal suit is a variant and the real one is still a secret.

Yes I know we got a thee DCnU AC look in statue form, with the white t-shirt. But I'd love to get it in figure form.
