I don't understand all this "terribly dated" talk. Plenty of characters, both heroes and villains, had trunks all the way up to the 90s/00s, not just Superman.

Yeah, I too have never got what the dated aspect of the trunks are exactly. I guess because people associate it with strongmen of the '30s? I don't know, the thought never really occurred to me

The first Superman movie came out in 78, and the second in 80. I assume we'll ignore Superman III, IV, and Returns. So more like '80? Or '81?

February Solicits are out today and i was hoping that they would give away what Superman's New Suit was going to look like but on every cover showing Supes he just has his normal New 52 suit so I am thinking he isn't receiving a permanent change.

That's what I feared when all the last solicits came out. But here's hoping they're faking us out or something.

Seeing as it's working out critically and commercially, as long as it works out critically and commercially.

I cannot understand the appeal of this romance. It works in the context of Elseworlds or future stories after Clark and Lois have had their time together and she has died in whatever manner (as in Kingdom Come). Lois is one of the key components in the Superman mythos. She is just important (if not more) as the Kents in being Superman's anchor to Earth and the human race.
And they can't get rid of the New 52 costume design soon enough!

im super excited for this new supergirl direction! The only thing that ticked me off was the exchange between kara and clark, why does every writer have to force this drama between them? every time they see each other clark tries to force her to do what he wants her to, then she storms off with the whole "let me live" speech, im so tired of it.

other than that its a breath of fresh air
