Yep I am going to give his run a try when he starts writing Superman

I really don't have much hope for Robertson's run. If he was writing his own story, I'd certainly be willing to give it a chance. But he's continuing with Grounded......and so far, it's still a 12 issue story. He's basing it on JMS' scripts and I think when writing another writer's material, he's going to suffer for it.

Plus with the mess that JMS has just made by just abruptly leaving like a jackass, I think it would take a massive talent to fix Superman right now. Hence why I'm hoping that DC will change their plans with Action Comics and grab Cornell.

I hope Roberson and Hester wrap up JMS arcs fast so they can get on with telling their own stories

By that logic though, would it really matter if Cornell was replacing JMS instead of Roberson? Most likely he'd still suffer just the same. And it's kind of unfair to dismiss Roberson's talent level when he really hasn't gotten a chance to show his talent on the bigger books, especially since his other work has been fairly good.

And as I've said, we do know they'll be finishing the arcs and stuff, but past that, it's entirely likely that they'll do their own thing, even if they have JMS' notes. Williams said he had some of Rucka's notes for Batwoman, but he'd be doing his own thing, even if incorporating some of those ideas into his own run. I think we need to wait and see before we start dismissing people outright

hahaha JMS is an *******.

Go write the ending of The Twelve, Mr Hack.

hopefully, even though grounded was planned to be a 12 issue arc, now that everything has gone to hell maybe the new writers will wrap it up sooner and then move on to better things.

I just think that the only person who would competently finish JMS' story, considering the type of story that it is, is JMS. JMS should have just finished the damn arc, or even finish it quickly like he did with Thor and then then give it to another writer to do their own thing.

Also, thanks to Action Comics, I just really want to see Paul Cornell take on Superman. I think that he should be given the reigns at DC the way Grant Morrison and Geoff Johns are.

So we have another big Superman event coming up...probably with Doomsday..hope it's good. But they need to get working on a massive actual good WW event.

Yeah, this is a pretty aggravating situation. I was enjoying Grounded, but without JMS writing I don't see much point in picking it up any longer. Poor form, JMS.

I doubt that this was just JMS' decision. DC probably saw how much Earth One sold and wanted to get a sequel out as soon as possible.

As for Cornell, I'd like to see him write some more stuff before he's given that level of control. He's only done two books for them and one of them is a mini. I guess three if you count the Batman and Robin fill in arc but we don't know if that'll be any good yet.

i wasnt even enjoying grounded, but i still dont want anyone to finish it other than JMS. its his craptastic story, its on him to tell it.

also, im sure all this came from the combination of bad reception of supes/WW and very good sales of earth one. they took him off what wasnt working and put him on what was working.

At least this means Grounded and his Wonder Woman story might end faster

We might have hit a time warp:
