Yay, Thor's first issue sold out like every first issue sells out. The true test will be the third and fourth and fifth and so on.

She was fairly lame. She served three bigger purposes, have the Skrull empire eaten, suck and get her butt kicked a lot, and die.

I read commentary on Newsarama by some clowns commenting on Thor#1...one guy found the new 'neanderthal' look appealing. Idiot. Thor isn't a dull witted caveman, get a clue.

Still, Copiel's version of Volstagg would be frightening...each appearance would take up a whole panel and thus, drive the comic price up to seven bucks in cost overruns.

He may be an overweight lover, but too much of a good thing is...too much.

I just wish more happened in Thors big #1 revamp. It should've been double size and had more going on. But even though things are starting out slow, I'll still follow it.

I just got the first issue! I thought it was awsome but also a little confusing because I haven't read any Thor comics except for the ones from the 60s. How come Donald Blake had been in the void longer than Thor?

Because Odin took the Don Blake persona away from Thor in the '80s, right at the start of Simonson's run (which you should read), effectively making Blake deceased. Thor only died recently, at the end of his last series.

Yeah, I miss double-sized first issues. It's like a TV show getting a two-hour season premiere--it just feels right when you see it.

As for Asgardians JMS has said that it COULD take up to a year for them all to return.
