The Official TIH Preview Thread

My girl is attracted to RDJ AND ED, ugh... it's the summer of jealousy for Frostie, I miss watching movies with her like... Transformers, how could I be jealous of Shia. :oldrazz: OH! BURRRNN to a man that will make millions more than I will ever see... :csad::oldrazz:
Don't be jealous, it's not our fault that these movie stars bulk up and wear really form fitting shirts or none at all. Ed doesn't do much for me but he did have a hot body in American History X and I'm more sexually attracted to those CGI prairie dogs than I am to Shia... and this coming from somebody who finds Tobey Magurie sexy.:o

The friends, family and co-workers I've shown this clip to, who either only knew of this film in passing or not at all, have been completely floored by it. Rightly so, but this quick clip is the kind of stuff that jazzes the masses, (ooooh! Almost a rhyme), and I think the ad execs at Universal / Marvel really need to get this on TV (or part of it) to let all the uneducated masses know in a very BIG / in-your-face way that this new Hulk means business, and will in not be another gecko & sea cucumber, moss-loving Ang follow-up.

Those who are ignorant of this re-boot seem to be responding all the same: "Why are they making ANOTHER one???" Not good. Time is running out to get the word to these fence-sitters in order to get them into theater seats guaranteed. Word of mouth will help, but i think this kind of film needs a HUGE push at the onset. I don't think it will have staying power based on W.O.M. alone, with so many other films vying for a piece of the box office pie.

true man, few of my friends didn't want to see the fighting clip, that's how bad Ang Lee's Hulk was:o:csad:

My girl doesn't go for muscular types (weird I know but good news for me!, ) she just finds those actors hot in general.

And... I literally, let me stress this, almost laughed myself to tears over the prairie dog comment. I just.... best thing I have read in god knows how long.

I tend to agree. I'm seeing Iron Man numbers. Even given the memory of Hulk, I think this will have a bigger opening weekend than many expect. I think the massive play the new trailers and clips are getting are really helping establish this as a separate entity in audiences minds plus the fact you have an enormously popular and critically acclaimed actor in the starring role this time, which is a draw in itself.

I couldn't agree more. I sure hope Frenchy Ed, Liv, Hurt or Roth show up on the talk shows soon.

There is no way this movie is going to do Iron Man numbers! There difference b/w the Hulk movies and the Iron Man and Spider-Man movies is that the Hulk takes itself more serious while IM and Spider-Man are light-hearted and fun movies. Those are the kind of movies that people are going out in numbers to see.

Take Batman Begins for example. Great movie, regarded as one of the best comic-book movies ever, but still didnt make much more than 200mil. The Dark Knight, which I think will be a huge hit, won't make Iron Man number either just b/c I think it will be much too serious material.

This is not knock TIH. I am looking foward to seeing it and so far it does look like a good movie. I just wouldn't expect anything close to an Iron Man BO weekend.

we should go jahovas witness and go door to door handng out fliers reading "NOT A SEQUEL...SEE MOVIE"

The Hulk is a big name but I just don't think he's a popular one
So popular that the merchandise out sells all Marvel stuff...like ever. Little kids to grown men buy Hulk stuff. It's all about the power. Little kids are in awe and the big boys want it. A metaphor, but a true one. The movie will have Hulk size numbers compared to the last movie.

Now that was sweet. This is what it should look like when someone like Cap fights Hulk. I'm so hoping we get some Hulk Vs. Avengers action in the Avengers Movie.

Could you imagine how incredible that would look on screen? The Avengers in a classic Marvel style mano y mano with the Hulk...it just wouldn't get any better.

I'm not really big on the really muscular types either.

Thanks:up: I aim to please.

Yeah but the same could be said about Superman and look at SR numbers.

Will there be a sequel? You all know it will be dependent of the Box office take. The more hype they give this Movie the better. The comic book fans will go and see it but the others must be convince. Remember he mention the Leader. So, let's wait and see...

I don't think a sequel will happen... even if the film is in the 350 total range. The reason is I think they'd rather have Norton in the Avengers movie in a small supporting role like the quotes indicate. If they make a sequel it would have to come in 2012 meaning that Norton will virtually have to be back to work as the same character in less than a year's time (assuming he is in Avengers). If they wait after that the cast will get too old or they will have moved on. I don't think Norton will be so attached that he'll be comitted basically producing another movie all about the Hulk again.

"Sir and or Madam, have you found Hulk? Do you live your life for Hulk? Read the good book of Smashing, -hands them Marvel Spotlight booklet- We are here to tell you this is not a sequel, but an entirely new perspective on our Jade Goliath. We would like you to come with us June 13th to a special movie event."

LOL

We should actually do that, at least the Sunday before the release...

Right here you've highlighted exactly why TIH could be a success. A lot of movies have this light hearted, almost comedic feel to them, TIH will be different, perhaps a welcomed change.

lol excellent. I'd like to see that.

Superman Returns wasn't a welcome change.

I promise that I'm not trying to turn this into a bashing Superman Returns post, I'm just saying that it was "darker" and underperformed.

The only thing is this really isn't a change. We've already seen serious takes on heroes before and none of them have put up great numbers. Good ones, but not great.

But who knows, like you said before Kirmit, could be thinking wrong but I doubt it :cwink:

Ok so the same clips were shown that we've already saw, with exception of the intro, and the beginning of the final battle scene where Bruce jumps off the chopper. I'm stoked regardless, but i was like some of you, i was disappointed when they said that wasn't a possibility of trilogy for the franchise. (Boo!)

Sure Spidey......lol

I think this thing is getting blown WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY out of proportion. There will be a sequel to TIH if it does well at the BO. Norton (and the rest, I think) are signed on for three movies. Also, him and Frenchy have said (paraphrase) this movie is a set up for others. Fear not True Believers, The Hulk will return in The Rampaging Hulk in 2011. *Just Cracker Jacks guess*

Excelsior!
