I really like that brown corduroy jacket, the colour suits him - and incidentally, I have a pair of jeans made of exactly the same fabric, really nice quality stuff.

And the baseball caps are justplain cute! He was a surfer boy, after all. :p

Well, I actually like almost everything I've seen him in, even the cordoroy and baseball caps. He looks cute in the caps, actually. And the cordoroy doesn't bother me.

But he looks great in leather and denim (DUH!)

Maybe he should just stick with that look?

Get out! No way! Are you just joking? He was a surfer??!!

One rainy day, I just want to sit at James feet and listen to Tom Welling stories.

In best British accent: "Picture it. It was 1995 and a young boy leaves the sand and surf to follow a dream..." :D

Not exactly ... he tries to surf, but he can't actually do it. Too tall, feet too big for the board, or something. But for me, spending time on the beach *trying* to surf still qualifies him for the status of "surfer". ;)

Well, maybe for you.... ;)

I doubt real surfers would agree.

Have I ever come across as the kind of person who would actually care what they think? ;)

He even had the long sun-bleached hair going on for a while ...

My hubby knew surfers in high school (he grew up in Northern California) and I had dealings with an assistant for the guy who did the artwork for the Endless Summer poster (a classic surfer movie from the sixties) and had looked into that a bit...

It's a whole different world..

I'd like to see a photo of that...

For sure, but my point was that it's a world you can be a part of even if you can't actually stand up on a surfboard ... looking the part will get you far.

Which still doesn't convince me to care what they think, of course. :p

If you've seen his Abercrombie pictures, you have seen that.

True.

I think I have seen those, and I thought that he looked kinda dumb with that blonde streak... It didn't really go with his coloring.

The longer hair was really good, however.

I like guys with long hair. In fact, I fell head over heels with my hubby when he had shoulder length hair.

It was thick and beautiful with a slight wave and golden highlights, and I loved to run my fingers through it. :D

However, it turned out the only reason he had shoulder length hair was because he was too broke to get a hair cut. :(

I've known him for almost 20 years and he hasn't had shoulder length hair since, darn it. ;)

That gray shirt that he wore to the Oceans Twelve Premiere, must be one he pulled out of his closet. I've seen pictures where he's worn that out for other things (but without the bowtie and a few buttons undone--MUCH better look for it IMO).
*Points to Pat* Pat, you've actually posted a pic on the boards where he's wearing that shirt, I think it was when you were showing people (who thought Superman could have brown eyes) what nice blue eyes Tom had.

Now, how do I post images, or can I even do that with such a meager post count??

I've never seen him wearing that exact shirt, but he did wear a very similar (or the same) style at the CbtD premiere last year - it was blue and far more subtle. The stark contrast of the white/grey/black one is the main problem I have...

But he seems to do that a lot, wearing the same style shirt in different colours; he wore a blue striped shirt about two years ago, and then wore pretty much the exact same style, only in white, to the Paley festival.

Do you mean this one, Ardie? It's similar but not exactly the same.

Yeah, Serene, I guess I did mean that one. :) Now that I see it that close up, it's obvious it's not the same (I missed the blue stripes). Oh well...
It always surprises me when former models make ummm....maladroit fashion choices (a la bowtie). Where is Helmut Lang when you need him? Lol.

You know now that I keep seeing the pictures it's not that bad. Especially if the shirt was of a very dressy fabric. Most of the people there did have on bow ties it was formal. I guess it just grew on me.

Yeah, Tom is way better looking that that other guy... Oh, well.

Success is the best revenge. Tom will probably go off and have a great career doing bigger roles while BJ is is stuck in the blue tights for the next ten years.

I think the shirt is growing on me too... I thought the bow tie was too big, but that is in style.

It's an understandable mistake, they are oddly similar shirt patterns, except for the blue stripe. I wonder if they are both from a favorite shirtmaker?

That is probably my favorite picture of TW. I have a hard time tearing my eyes away from it. I mean.. damn.. I'm not sure a man can get any better looking than that.

The image I made my new avatar from is Probably my favorite, but that web site is down... I can't hotlink to it anymore. (I'm glad I downloaded that image... ) he he he he

Is this here where we've talked about the ratings? No one talked about this week's, I looked it up...

It's kinda hard to read on Mediaweek, but it looks like it came in last. Again. Trailing even America's Top Model and a repeat of Kevin Hill.

:(

I think it's all a matter of degrees. If I were really wealthy it might not seem so extravagant. Hopefully the person can really afford it. I'd hate to think it's just an average person that got caught up and cant pay their rent now..
