Good catch! I didn't notice the reflection on the glasses before either. Knowing that, and looking a little closer at the picture I'm now noticing the way that Tom's head is slightly cocked towards Christopher's, as a student might in deference to a teacher. The picture really does say so much more now.

I'm a little more perturbed at not getting one of these posters from Best Buy now.

Cool Beans... I didn't notice that.

Maybe I woulda if they'd had those things at the Best Buy where I bought my copy.

LOL@"nasty gram." Hee!!!

I never got a poster either. Like Serene said, after seeing this poster again with some of those details pointed out, I'm bummed too. Ah vell.

I didn't notice that either. I finally heard the 3rd season commentaries last night they are always so interesting and it was cute AM talking about how good it feels to hug Tom. JG talking about watching Secretary with AM and KK and dying of embarassment because of KK being there. Even the little tiff between MR and MM. I was diasppointed there were only three. BTW I think Beeman is Tom's biggest fan it's so cute how much he compliments him. Yeah I know I'm months behind.

I watched the commentary episodes with my husband when I got the DVD. We both laughed out loud at the part in Memoria where they talk about getting calls from LA and how Tom "helped himself" *ahem.* I was relieved to hear they were just joking around at his expense. Poor guy. LMAO!! ;)

Commentary tracks are the best part of DVDs, IMHO. I just wish Welling was on one of 'em! :( I'm already looking forward to S4 and would be willing to put money on them doing a commentary with Glover and Welling during Transference. Based on his interview in the latest SV magazine, I get the feeling it's one of Tom's favorite episodes ever. On my personal list of favs, it's definitely in the top five! In terms of episodes I can watch repeatedly, it's tied with Exile at number 1. :D

The commentaries are less rigid than interviews it's like they say whatever is in their head at the time. They seem more comfortable I swear I would listen to them for all the episodes. I can't believe MR ate the bugs when he didn't have to and drank the water blech! Sometimes the interviews seem full of stock answers. About the sock I'm not sure they actually know but I can't believe with all of Tom's don't focus on my looks focus on my acting he would want to draw extra attention to his crotch. So I vote no sock.

Oh, I'm sure they were just joking. One of them said kind of sheepishly afterwards, "I believe that's au naturale," or something along those lines, and the rest followed in suit. LOL!!! Darn funny! But I wouldn't put it past the censors in LA to have actually placed that phone call. ;)

I work escalations at HP and know how to work escalations going the other way... got Dell to bend over backwards when my computer crashed thanks to a piece of junk video capture card they sold me.

Damn that made me so mad, they sold me a computer a month before XP came out with an upgrade coupon to XP but a video capture device that hosed my computer when I tried to use it after upgrading to XP.... The damn thing wasn't supported in XP and they musta known that before selling it to me but happily took my money anyway...

So I wrote a nasty gram to Michael Dell at Dell HQ and not only did Dell buy back the piece of shee-it video capture card they sold me, they sent me a new, much more expensive one and extended my warranty a year for free.... (I didn't expect all that, all I wanted was my money back to pay for a different video capture solution, but I guess if you complain loudly enough to the right people, you can get results.)

Anyway, I may not get a poster, but I know how to complain the right way so maybe something good will come out of it.

I'll let you know what happens, I've been meaning to do something about this for more than a month but now and am re-energized and will deal with this once I'm back in town.

EDITED for verbosity: God, I get wordy when I'm tired and this version isn't much shorter... Sorry about that and this may mean good night. ;)

I hate Dell.
Ordered a new printer from them last year, listed as "in-stock" at the time of order. Got an email a few days later saying my printer was now 30-45 days backordered. Called them up, cancelled the order, ordered a new one from some place else. The NEXT DAY the printer from Dell was on my doorstep. Arrrgh!
So, anyway.. I hate Dell.

To stay on-topic <ahem> - I watched Exile on ABC Family this evening. I agree with Pat, I could watch that ep over and over and over...

I've also come to the conclusion that, for the most part, Jonathan bugs the crap out of me.

New TV Guide channel special on Smallville check your local listings I think it's on once a day for a while. Watch for CR talking about Tom and the TV guide expert speculating on how the movie will affect Smallville. Alot of the footage is older but I'll watch anything Smallville.

The Best Buy DVD sets that included a poster was limited run. Not all sets came w/ the poster. The ones that did were lableled with a sticker with information about the Christopher Reeve foundation. My guess is those sets sold out on the first day. Subsequent sets at BB did not come with an additional poster. The only way to get one would have been to go to BB early on the first day of the set's release.

But I looked all over the store and couldn't find it (I was there by lunch time....) and I showed the clerk the ad and he said it must be in the box there and it wasn't.

That's why I got so mad about it, they didn't tell the locals about the national promotion and they had no clue what was going on which is why they told me it was in the box that they had.

Ok, there is a new interview by Tom over at DTS but it says not to repost it without permission. I can give this though. Someone posted the link at TWOP, so I can post the link, right??? Let me know if I should take this down.

Anyway, Tom is naked a*friggin*gain. What is up with that? I found this quote from the article the most enlightening.

As opposed to what everyone believes, the boys write to me more than the girls. In the States, the fans are, for the most part, men.

Take that evil angry Superman movie fanboys!!!! Men like him. Shows what they know!!

Posting links to their pages is perfectly acceptable. In fact, that's what they want. Most fan sites just want to be credited for their hard work and not have their material "stolen" for use on other sites. Its a courtesy among webmasters that's not always adhered to, unfortunately. I've maintained a fan site for... *gulp* my gosh - eight years now, so I know the mentality. (It's not SV or superhero-related in any way.)

Anyway, Tom is naked a*friggin*gain. What is up with that?
LMAO!! Guess it sells magazines? If I'm not mistaken, that photo is from his modeling portfolio and predates SV. It, along with another portfolio shot that I don't have access to at the moment, bears a striking resemblance to Ross' Welling-as-Superman mock ups. They added fuel to the speculation that Ross didn't just throw those paintings together on a whim. He might have actually been *given* some photos to reference off of. ;)

 :D

I saw a similar quote in another magazine about the same thing recently. It's nice to hear - and rub-in when the opportunity presents itself. ;)

Nope, he has low-riding jeans on - but the magazine edited the line of his belt.

I've read that whole article before, as is usual with the French magazines. They never post original interviews, it's always just a compilation of quotes.

Some of it was new to me. Thanks for the link I bet he doesn't get alot of crazy mail because he's married. Even the most hormonal women usually respect that I bet.

Pat will know about this: when you run a site for a celeb, some poeple have the odd notion that you ARE that celeb. And send you emails accordingly. Believe me, many people don't have any respect for the fact that he's married, and none at all for his wife - if he's never received any letters from those people I would be highly surprised. With luck his letters are screened and he only gets to read the nice ones.

Welling's married? Good for him. Hope it lasts and stays out of the limelight.

I've never written to a celebrity. I don't get the point behind it especially anything embarrassing. I think at this point he knows people adore him and want him or maybe the people are delusional and think they'll get a response.I guess it might be nice to send fan mail to someone who is often overlooked praising their performance or something. But why bother being a tiny drop in a bucket no one would see. Here I am speculating when proabably most people that write fan mail are a decade or more younger than me anyway.
