(that one makes me laugh)

LOL look who's name is in the thread at the top of the Supes forum.. They seemingly cant enough of him over there.... He apparently owns them all...

Proving what we've all been saying.. He's a hard guy to forget. :)

I got an email last night from one of the people I speak to about Tom, and he's pretty much a lock for CbtD2. Meh.

That's fine with me as a mom there is another scale for how good a movie is when you watching it with your kids. Mine just giggled their heads off so I enjoyed it. Besides it did do well and I don't think it would help his career if he becomes difficult. Why piss off all the other people involved by refusing to come back?

I don't see any problem with him doing CBTD2, as long as thats not the only movie he has coming out, and its not (yay for FOG!)..his role will most likely be small...but my god, doesn't he want some rest before returning to SV in July?

LOL! I really need to read THIS thread first in the morning. What was I thinking?

So CBTD2, huh. Well, that's cool. Not sure where they can go with the story, but I hope they come up with something entertaining. I'm not big on Steve Martin, but I'll see the film if Tom is in it. (I'm sure everybody is completely shocked by that revelation LOL)

Any idea of when it will go into production? This year? Next year? They released the first one around X-mas, right? If they want to open next X-mas, they'd probably want to be done with principal by next summer, which means a spring shoot. He could probably do that right after SV wraps. (I'm taking an educated guess there WILL be a S5, even though there hasn't been an official announcement yet. I expect to hear one within the next two-three weeks.)

*whistles*

James did not place a moratorium on his being convincing yet evil on April Fool's Day.

I don't have a clue whether Tom will be in CbtD2. Gotcha! :hyper:

Gah! See the thing with April Fool's jokes is, you're supposed to be shocked or suprised by the information. We know there IS going to be a sequel to that film. I honestly would be surprised if Tom were NOT in the pic. :p

I think your April Fool's joke may turn out to be ironically prophetic. ;)

Or - you're just supposed to be fooled. ;)

Perhaps we're a little too subtle and cruel in England? :p

Maybe.

LOL, anything is possible..its not that far-fetched

That's it! I'm not believing anything else I read today!!!!

(wouldn't have minded another Tom and Steve Martin movie though..)

I reported it to IMDb two days ago; they're slow dumbasses.
Ah, okay. Didn't know if you had seen it or not. :)

Hey, speaking of Steve Martin... so what's the deal w/ Laurie? Can we go back to hoping Martin gets cast as Perry?

You heard something about Laurie?

They're talking about it over on IMDb. It's not an April Fool's joke, according to the thread starter. I dunno. Personally, I don't care, but if they cast *somebody* that I actually LIKE in the film, I might be more interested in seeing it. I'm not even big on Steve Martin, but I still say he would have made an EXCELLENT Perry White. Anyhoo... I gotta run. Be back in a bit. :)

Oh, ok. I went over there and took a look....

Interesting, seems authentic. I love Laurie and woulda probably seen the film if only for him...

Too bad TPTB couldn't work around House's sked. I hope they get someone really good, but this late in the game their choices will likely be limited.

Well, like I said a while back, I don't know Laurie - never watched House or anything else he's been in, so his casting didn't mean a darn thing to me. The only actor I "know" is Spacey, and he never did anything for me in the appeal dept. I've been batting a 1000 w/ this film since Day One.

Thank goodness for SV!!! *sigh*

The only reason to watch House is because of Laurie, he's that good. The show is very unrealistic, medically speaking. A doctor friend who watched the show on my suggestion couldn't stand it.

She could see Laurie's appeal but the medicine was inconsistant: some things they do right and others they don't even come close to being right.

My hubby and I were talking about it and if anyone else were in the role, we probably wouldn't watch it. It's sorta like a medical CSI and I hate CSI.

I like Spacey but he tends to play basically the same character over and over, except for a few rare instances. He needs a strong director, I think.

He worked really well with Singer in The Usual Suspects, he was pitch perfect as Vebal Kint/Kaiser Sose and deserved that Oscar.

Although, he was overrated in American Beauty and so didn't deserve that Oscar.... He robbed my man Russell of the one he shoulda gotten for The Insider.

That goes without saying.... ;)

Meh. The only "medical" shows I watch are the "real" ones. Documentaries and such. I really don't watch that much TV.

He was good in US, but overall, that film was excellent to begin with - and had a superb cast all around. Sometimes, directors just luck out. I liked him best in LA Conf. But yet again, it was about the cast as a whole, not just Spacey. I mean really... Russell Crowe, Guy Pearce, Kim Basinger, and even my favorite whipping boy for making silly comparisons - Danny DeVito. Great movies *usually* have great casts. And having only ONE great actor doth not a great movie make.

That goes without saying.... ;)
Actually, it can't be said enough...

THANK GOODNESS FOR SMALLVILLE!

I was thinking the adverts for it (it starts on Hallmark in the UK this month) looked really good - until the joking implication that fibromyalgia is purely psychological. I know he's a doctor who doesn't conform, and who basically does and says whatever the hell he likes, but still. Making jokes about very real and debilitating illnesses is not cool.
