I'm sat here making my highly amused face, in case you care. The reason being that the person telling me to relax is the same person who actually took me seriously. Your game is poking fun at TW fans, mine is poking at people who do stupid things - all's fair in chess and nuclear warfare ...

I hope you don't mind if I skip the rolleyes smiley; imagine it's there if you wish.

On the subject of manips, good ones are a matter of opinion. On that Routh manip the head's too small, the colour saturation doesn't match ... and I could go on.

ALL manips have something to be desired.....if you choose to focus on the undesiderable, of course you'll be disappointed. IMO, if the suit had color schemes such as that a dark almost metallic look, it will give the feel of actually being from another planet. Dan-El did an excellent job, as always.

Your opinion is dully noted.

Hope the rest of you have a great day, I'm off to work.

I can't find it, I'll post it when I do....It was up when Welling had apparently agreed.
Oh, OK... thanks.

My favorite TW manip is probably the one that was on Superman-V. Dan-El made that one...

Which one was that?
Dan made two that I'm aware of, but I'm not sure which one Pickle is referring to. Diddy left the manips section up on his old TW site, so here ya go...

It's nice to have that "resource." I hope Diddy leaves it there as long as possible.

I think he should leave it there until the movie opens...
And archive it until the movie closes and the ratings are in...
Or until the rights pass to Fox... Lol. :)

Thanks.... you're a sweetie.

I had seen both of these before, they're nice.

:sigh:

Oh, what coulda been.... :(

There were so many nice Welling manips made. Skimming through Tom Welling 4 Superman I picked out a few favorites.

I like the proportion and facial expresson in this one:

This is just a really cool perspective:

***There are many more good ones posted there, but those are a few that stand out to me.

Okay, I've been having problems.. been trying to post this for twenty minutes.. I had to reboot the dang confuser, hopefully this will work this time.

Tom to Attend the Los Angeles Premiere of Ocean’s Twelve

According to the Business Wire, Tom is currently on the list of scheduled attendees for the Black Tie Premiere of Ocean’s Twelve, on Wednesday, December 8th, at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.

Other scheduled guests include George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jennifer Aniston, Michael Douglas, Ashton Kutcher, Demi Moore, and Bruce Willis. All guests are required to dress in formal or evening attire, so Tom should look quite smart for once!

Yay for Tom!

Yay, for James as well. :)

That opening is going to be huge in every way with all the big names in that film. Seems like a good opportunity to see and be seen.

Well, if you're gonna go the celebrity route, he couldn't have picked a better group of A-listers to be seen and network with LOL. Wireimage should have quite a nice selection of press images by tomorrow. I'll post some of the better ones if he's singled out, which I'm sure he will be at some point. I would also imagine ET will have something on it as well. Cool beans! :D

The preem isn't until the 8th....

Why would Wireimage have photos tomorrow?

Here's triplet going onto another Tangent:

Isn't this a good sign for Tom's relationship with Warner's?

I mean, this is a major A list-studded premiere of their big film for the end of the year... does it mean he's on good terms with the suits at the studio, despite all the rumors to the contrary?

[slaps head] I looked quick at the date to see when it was so I could mark my calendar and saw that "Dec 3rd" was bolded. Oopz! Okay, so WI will have photos on the 9th. My bad. LOL!!!

Geeze, who knows? I'd imagine it's by invitation only (in a big freakin' way, too.) Maybe his manager pulled some strings? I dunno. [shrugs]

It IS a GREAT event to be seen at though. Like I said, he couldn't have picked a better group. I mean, hello? George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Julia Roberts, Andy Garcia, Bernie Mac, Don Cheadle, Elliott Gould, and Carl Reiner! Peter Fonda and Bruce Willis might be there as well (they have cameos in the film.) And lets not forget Jerry Weintraub and Steven freakin' Soderbergh. Gawd!!

Bryan who? LMAO!! ;)

BTW... Unless he's out of the country or something, I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Nolan shows up as well. Clooney and Soderbergh exec-produced Nolan's Insomnia, which is also a Warners' pic and was distributed by them. :D

Uhm.. hadn't you heard. Julia just had Hazel and Phineous Molder... She's probably still in the hospital, so she won't be there.

Bruce Willis is scheduled to be there, take a look at the posting:

Yeah, he and all his crew are down under so they're going to miss probably the biggest Party Warner's will throw before Batman Begins next summer.

I guess everyone keep an eye on E! and Entertainment tonight, etc, on Thursday....

It's a great networking opportunity, definitely.

I don't follow the celeb scene all that much, and my only real source for legitimate entertainment news is Variety, so I guess I missed it. No biggie. It's also 3:30am here and I'm kinda skimming posts at this point. LOL ;)

Bruce Willis is scheduled to be there
Hoozah! My man! If Bruce was on the Titanic, it never would have sunk. :D

So um... looking at all those names, in all honesty, what IS Welling doing on that list? LOL I'm not complaining mind you, but I'm trying to figure out the connection. Everybody else I can pretty much "justify" in some way or another through prior relationships. Odd. But regardless, this re-heeeely is a cool event for Tom to attend. It's quite the spread.

I thought I worked too much.... I woulda thought you had to be living in a cave in Borneo not to hear about the strange names Julia gave her new twins.

Come on.. Hazel and Phineous?

My God. What were she and Mr. Julia Roberts thinking?

He he he he... I'm not so sure about that, but I know what I woulda done with him had I been on the Titanic with him. ;)

Just a little aside: I'm about as liberal as they come but my buddies in an online screenwriting group had asked, just for fun, who we all thought was "do-able"...

Well, on my list along with Tom (little wonder) and a few other names on that list above, was Mr. Willis.

My one friend sent a shocked reply: But he's a Republican!

I said: I wouldn't kick him outta bed for talking up the President. ;)

he he he

Anyway.....

Yep, pretty odd on the face of it but if that DJ dude, Greg, that posted over on DTS is right and Tom does have a three picture deal with Warner's, then his attending would then make more sense, wouldn't it?

Even if that isn't true, maybe his career prospects are looking better than some of the Routhies would otherwise believe...

(They're still bashing Welling over in the Routh thread, I can't believe I even go in there anymore... it's never gonna change.)

He'll be there for the same reason that he was at the Swordfish premiere ... well, the same two reasons.

  1. Your show needs publicity, so get your butt out there where people will SEE YOU. No better publicity that being at the same event as A-listers ...
  2. You work for us, and we want all of our pretty people to look pretty on the red carpet where all the ugly people will see just how pretty you really are!
He's invited to dozens of these things every year, he usually just doesn't have the time or inclination - perhaps he liked Ocean's Eleven? :p

Not that I'm biased or anything, but based on looks alone, Tom clearly is "prettier" than any of the above mentioned big names. If the rumor is true that he has signed for a 3 picture deal, I can only squee with excitement over the possibilities of his future celebrity status. The boy has "it" - stand up and take notice - he's coming!

Not to mention the fact that Nolan's own superhero opus, Batman Begins, will debut its trailer with O12.

Maybe Nolan will still give Tom that cameo... :P

It just might be that simple but Tom's also a smart boy... I don't think he'd pass up such a golden networking opportunity.

This preem will be unlike most: there will be not just a couple of A listers attending, but whole boat load of them and some top notch directing and producing talent to boot.

This kind of premiere doesn't come along often, no matter how many invites Tom may get each year. It'd be a hard one to pass up.
