Either I'm lazy or I'm just getting distracted by my avatar!! ;)
Did you say something?

LOL

Can we get a letter writing campaign going or something?
Would be no use at this point as I'm sure the commentaries have already been recorded. They're probably in the final phases of post prod on the DVD, if it's not already completed altogether. Ah vell. :(

That's simply beautiful.... I'd download it right now, but I doubt the hubby would want this image cluttering up his hard drive! ;) :D

My numbskull hubby didn't bring his power supply home so the battery is about to die... I probably won't be back until Monday because stupid Dell makes proprietary power supplies for their computers so I can't just go to Best Buy and get one and Dell parts ordering isn't open on Saturdays, damn them all to hell for the villains they are!

im glad you guys are all okay... posting as usual...
:)

wishing u all a good weekend!

yeah... i love the animated smiley at the bottom too :D

thanks pat!

Well, the jpgs don't take up that much room, but it's not going anywhere either. I won't be deleting THAT piece, so don't worry.

Pat! This picture coupled with that teeny little Superman .gif is a wonderful thing to wake up to.
Thanks, Chel! I had fun making it. Well, I *always* have fun making 'em, but you know what I mean. My inspiration for that one came after reading a thread somewhere (I don't even remember where it was, but it was recent). You know the drill... too young. Doesn't look like Superman. Yada yada. Instead of going off the deep end, I just channeled by emotions into something more productive. :D

Here's a neat one from Blank. I LOVE his eyes in this cap...

And no matter how much the make-up folks try, Tom just aint no kid anymore. No way, no how...

Gosh!

His eyes are astonishing in that photo...Agent Pat, you really honor this man with your gorgeous pictures. I know I appreciate your efforts. He is simply perfection! :)

I was reading in entertainment weekly that Ray Romano after every episode gets online to listen to people pick it apart. That he has done that all the years his show has been on. It's kinda funny really it's the first mention I've heard of a TV star that does that.NOt that I think Tom does but I've always wondered about the guest stars and others. I'm sure Romano is incredibly busy also.

I think Rosenbaum probably does go online at least a bit, he mentioned Clex and the homoerotic subtext in Smallville in the commentary for Red (I think).

How would he know about Clex unless he surfed some of the sites at least some?

Must be nice to be lucky enough to look that good.

Oh, thanks bunches, Chel! But honestly, Tom makes it easy. Every time I see various screen captures of him, I'm reminded of just how perfect a casting choice he was for Clark. I know it's easy to get used to a particular performance with repeated viewings, but I don't know any other actor who can elicit the kind of sympathetic pathos Welling can with just a glance - and then be able to turn on a dime and be strong and commanding when necessary. He really does have that one-in-a-million look.

On a somewhat on-topic, but unrelated note, I read a thread this morning on Usenet that had me reevaluating some recent decisions LOL. Some folks here know I live in Boston. Well, technically, I live about 10 miles north of Boston. My hubby had recently got a job offer to work down on Martha's Vineyard. It was a BIG offer - one of those you really should THINK about this before saying no type offers. But we'd have to live there (it's a requirement for the particular job.) Now, the Vineyard is a beautiful place. In the summer. But it has its drawbacks too. It's an island for one, and getting your car on and off is one helluva kick in the teeth. There's no bridges, so you have to rely on ferries - most of which are booked up for sometimes a YEAR in advance. Most islanders have to have two vehicles because of this - one that stays on the island, and one that stays on the mainland....

Anyhoo... I digress. Point is, we basically turned the offer down because the drawbacks outweighed the benefits - one of which was a VERY nice salary. Then I read the thread I've excerpted below. Hee! I'm not gonna be telling my hubby 'bout this, but secretly I've been screaming schitt! schitt! schitt! ALL morning LMAO!! ;)

Again, this is an excerpt. I haven't changed the content, but there were other parts that I intentionally left off, but the entire thread can be read HERE for those who are interested. All of the parts specific to Tom are here though...

...Speaking of Tom Welling - I have met him a couple of times... he is VERY QUIET! More so than I would have expected... And he doesn't look that tall? But then again, I was working and he came into work out and later have dinner....
Oh well...
Sancy

Get the **** out! You have NOT!
Caina.

You've met Tom Welling? You're kidding. You're kidding. OMG. When you send that tape, could you lick it across the top? That way I can rub it on my body and say that I have been licked by Tom Welling...sort of.
Strider

( ^ I'm still LMAO over that post)

Tom Welling went to school with the younger brother of some boys I went to school with... His wife is from a town just across the channel... Weird, isn't it? Because he is Canadian... Anyway... He got married on the Vineyard and he comes down all the time. The inn were I work has a health club attached and he works out when he is in town. Strider - I promise that next time he comes in, I will SAVE the towel he uses and I will FED-Ex it to you!
Sancy

is HE nice? If he's not, will you lie to me, so that I can still like him?
Strider

Hey Strider,
Actually, he was very lovely. But very quiet. He takes the term taciturn to a whole 'nother level. I can imagine that he wanted to lay low - but where I live, there are so many persons around, no one would care. Hell, I have even gone toe-to-toe with Harvey Weinstein! And, YES - his lips are NATURALLY as red as they look on the show!

^^ Funny... That lady seems to think Tom is Canadian....

I wondered about that too and thought maybe she was referring to the younger brother of the boys she went to school with?

I think, going from the context, that she was referring to Tom but maybe she was referring to the other guy... The "he" she refers to in that sentence isn't clear who she was referring to...

Eh, no matter. If it was Welling, it wouldn't surprise me that she got that impression.

Anyhoo... how freakin' SURREAL would it be to be minding your own Ps and Qs in a gym nowhere NEAR Vancouver - or even LA for that matter - and see Tom Welling walk in and start pushing weights around?

thud.gif

OMFG! I think I'd just choke. Next time I go to the Vineyard, I'm gonna make it a point of visiting that gym, ahuh! :D

Some more tid-bits on The Fog...

Sci Fi Wire caught up with Tom Welling, star of upcoming horror remake "The Fog", and he spilled the beans on the movie. Firstly he said that this new version of the movie was set to be "more modern", with characters who originally featured in the movie at a mature age, now being played by actors half their age. He also told the site about the new fog effects we will see in the movie, for a sequence involving a truck:

"We did a sequence where we're in the truck, and this cloud of fog is coming toward us, and literally the first time I saw this I was like, 'They've got some well-trained fog,' because this thing came around the house, came at us, and then all of a sudden I heard this thump and these three guys stood up with these lights on their chest and fog machines. They're inside the fog, so they can't see. So they're just taking their steps, and they ran right into the truck."
