We've got a Starbucks on literally every corner here. Its kinda over kill. Three blocks away there is seriously a Starbucks next door to a Peet's that's across the street from a Martha Bro's...its a friggin smargasboard(sp?).

I had to cap a few pics.. he looks so good.

That comment was cute. Something to the effect of, "there's a lot of people on SV who are responsible for my look, but I was responsible for it today." As if to say, "I'm to blame if it looks bad." Hah! Don't sweat it, Tom, you could dress in a burlap sack and you'd still look good.

Y'know, I may not post that much, but I do get around various Superman boards across the Net. I see a LOT of things on a daily basis - pictures, drawings, screen caps, promo photos, trailers - you name it! All sorts of stuff. Most of the time, it registers like data being entered into a computer - no real emotion involved - just pieces of information logged for posterity.

But then I see a picture like this, TW as Clark...

...and it's no longer an analytical observation or a piece of cold data for archival. An emotional connection is made. There's no "thinking" involved anymore; it's all feeling. Sometimes it's happy. Sometimes it's sad. And sometimes it just hurts. But it's always heartfelt.

That kind of love and pathos isn't easily transferable. At this point, I'd rather attempt to hold back the ocean with a broom. I think that would be an easier task...
