devastator and his subsequent scenes ate up a major part of the budget.
he won't be missed

I refuse to call that huge monster, Devastator. I do however refer to him as Excavator.

Whoever is in the Chi-town area alongside me, get ready next month to hook up some pics.

I hope so... Altho bay says theres gonna be lesser robots in this one, i dont see why he wont want to do another devastator.

And the reason why the fallen got owned by optimus in the second movie was that optimus was SUPPOSED to kill him easily right... Thats why the fallen was so afraid of coming to earth in the first place...

yes....he wouldn't even go back to Earth until he was told that Prime was "dead", I do wish the fight was longer though

and War for Cybertron is pretty good...it has some issues but still the best TF game Ive played

 Spot on, even when Prime was weakened, the Fallen got away from as quickly as possible once he had the Matrix, if the only thing that can kill you is close to you, then you dont go near it, simple as.

A friend of mine recently told me that Hasbro has pulled all funding from TRANSFORMERS 3 due to the racially stereotypical ghettobots from TF:ROTF. Has anyone else heard this rumor?

are we going to see any Big Bots like Omega Supreme or something?

With the inclusion of Silverbolt, I wouldn't be surprised if the other Aerialbots/Superion showed up. I could see the Stunticons/Menasor showing up if the reports are accurate about the Decepticons targeting humans are true. Omega Supreme could work as some old rocket as has been suggested.

I also wouldn't rule out a Devastator return either since it would seem like a waste not to bring him back after the time and effort it took to render him.

Oh how I wish the Stunticons were in TF3, seeing as my username on here is Dead End. It was the first TRANSFORMER I had owned. They weren't being sold in the communist Czechoslovakia, but I had bought Dead End in "West Germany", when visiting there. If the Stunticons made it into TF3 I'd be very happy, even if they didn't resemble their G1 counterparts.

Devastator is ILM's most complicated model (CGI, or otherwise) to date, and not to reuse him in TF3 (after spending so long to build him) would be a shame, however it does take a long time to animate, and render him for each new scene - especially now, with the 3D, since everything that is CG has to be done twice. I do understand Marvin's point though.

No...its Hasbros license, if they were that pissed about it they would have just pulled the license and there would be no third film

There better not be another military helicopter Decepticon that looks exactly like the previous two that have both died.

Do you think Grindor was only the name of the repaint toy, or was the helicopter Decepticon in Revenge of the Fallen indeed a "new" robot (not Blackout)? I thought perhaps the Constructicons had also revived Blackout . . . hence the "now we have six targets" line (continuity error) as the Decepticons began to re-surface from the ocean.

Oh, and also I eanted to post this unrelated Gif:

The head was only blown off, not to pieces so it could still form itself with some repairs IMO.

Agreed on both counts. Plus, if we're maybe getting the Aerialbots, I just can't see Bay resisting the prospect of a combiner vs. combiner battle.

Personally, I think the movieverse shares in common with the other universes the possbility for different individual TF's to share the same body type. So I think Blackout and Grindor were seperate characters.

Id like to see maybe Sam and Optimus share a conversation about Primes past, how he wasn't always a soldier...I don't need any flashback stuff, but maybe Sam is conflicted about his life and Optimus is like "I was you once, young idealistic but **** happens"

heh, yea, thatd be kind neat to see, and i wouldnt care if they used the Orion Pax naem either, if they jsut mentioned or talked about it

Or just use that rendering animation for Omega Supreme, a la what they did with the T-Rex animations in JP. :hehe:
