I like the guy. (Yes, i've met him)...

Do i agree with EVERYTHING he's initiated and okayed at Marvel? No.

But i DO think he's been good for the company.

Over the past three years, my Marvel reading has consisted of not only traditional superhero stories, but also cosmic stories, romance stories, horror stories, comedies, crime drama, fantasy, and even westerns...

It reminds me very much of the Marvel of my youth. :yay:

So; if there's something he's done that you actually have enjoyed and appreciated, feel free to share.

I only take exception with one point you've made.

"But i DO think he's been good for the company."

I thin it should be amended to say that not only had he been good for the company, but rather the industry. I think he has made some great strides in improving the quality of Marvel, and making sure the public knows it. This leads to better competition and a larger market to support different tastes. I think he's a great cheerleader for the entire industry, as well as Marvel.

Hey Zaptoitnow... your signature is backwards :D

I agree with CaptainStacy for the most part. Quesada has been good for the industry and brought Marvel out of the horrible sales and creative slump it had been in for years. That said, I'd rip his eyes out if I ever saw him in person for what has been (and is being) done to Spider-Man.

Yeah I think he loves the character, but he doesnt really have a good grasp on what makes the character great. He needs to step back a bit. Hopefully, he'll let Slott and the others do their thing...

All spot on.

Fellas,

I agree Quesada has been good for Marvel overall, the good out weighs the bad at least for Marvel financially and creatively, but I'd say his attitude towards the fans is wrong.

He does. There should be no excuse for making profit of of bad writing, both good stories and profit can be made. You just need effert.

Fellas, fellas; there's a "down with Joe Quesada" thread elsewhere on this forum...this is the "UP with Joe Quesada" thread...

Problem is, the profits are made because the majority of readers think the stories are good. So what's the excuse now?

Yeah like the effort needed to use spell check.

All I know is "Make 7 UP YOURS".

Was that a hostile remark or just a spontaneous solicitation for your favorite carbonated beverage?

Cause if the former then dude come on, that wasn't called for.

I guess no one saw the commercials.

Edit: For all you hypersensitives, it was not a dig at Quesada. The title of the thread reminded me of the commercials.

His contributions to the industry are gigantic, and he's done wonders for Marvel. I don't agree with every decision he's made, but I have a lot of respect for the guy.

With exception of Spiderman,... I can agree with most of that.

Marvel under Quesada has a lot of good books and a good variety of books.

I also like his artwork.
