Iron Man 2 The Official Whiplash Thread

i think if a guy would talk to hes cockatoo in a Bay movie people would complain that it is dumb. but i think in this movie they wont do this.

pretty interesting.

If a drunk Mickey Rourke talked to his cockatoo in a Michael Bay movie I don't think anyone would complain

You guys got what you wanted. You wanted Mickey Rourke as the villain in Iron Man 2.

No one is complaining about that. Some users are only not big fans of Cockatoo (I think it's awesome. It's a drunken Mickey Rouke talking to an drunken cockatoo in a russian prison, for crying out loud!).

The cockatoo is mostly used for exposition. Rourke will be discussing his plans and everything to the bird and effectively to us. Besides, he is in prison! I talk to my dog and i am not in prison.
If i were i would have had sex with it as well!:hehe:

:hehe:
@ the vile 1 who doesn't lol
@ Mr.earle who wouldnt lol

The cockatoo is awesome and anyone who begs to differ takes it up the ass.

I agree w/ this. The cockatoo will be for Ivan what Jarvis is to Tony(somewhat), an exposition plot device. I'm on the fence about it, personally. Could go either way, but I trust Favs.

Jarvis was an excellent exposition plot device. Inside the suit, helping him operate it... just brilliant! And those in-helmet shots with the head up display were awesome... Ahh.... memories...
One year to go folks!

Its a bird. It could have come from the window and made friends with him. Its not like he has a huge dog in prison!

Good point.

Man, I don't recall hearing any backlash from Shawshank Redemption about Brooks Hatlen(James Whitmore)having and talking to a crow he raised in prison. I doubt this will be played for comedy but will show loneliness and add a bit of depth to his character. People need to stop jumping the gun.

Same goes for Whiplashes's costume. If they write him in the comics to be a somewhat formidable foe wearing little to no armor they can do it on film as well. It's not like they're going to actually have Iron Man shoot one repulsor beam and end it immediately. I have a feeling he will surprise a lot of people and will have some good moves when in action.

There was a pet crow in Shawshank Redemption?!!

DARABONNNNNTTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :cmad:

Yeah, for all we know, Whippy could be a very skilled fighter/killer. There's no telling, those energized whips could be very powerful and they might be able to cut through IM's armor like butter.
