Yeah, for all we know, Whippy could be a very skilled fighter/killer. There's no telling, those energized whips could be very powerful and they might be able to cut through IM's armor like butter.

Well if they're anything like the comics, if Whiplash wraps one of them around Iron Man they'll shock the **** out of him possibly short circuiting his suit even.

It'll be interesting to see how they approach the whips. It'd be pretty funny if they went the retro rotoscope route and had them buzzing with energy ala Masters of the Universe or Johnny Mnemonic:-

I realise of course that approach may look hokey so I'm fully expecting some metal coils whips or something that makes a real 'clang' when they hit the armour.

I hope not, we already got Wolverine using his claws to block eye beams from Barakapool and that was incredily worthy of a face palm.

The thing that some are forgetting is that you have a man who was already cocky but now is in a high tech advanced suit of armor that fires lasers. When he sees some dude wearing some leather straps and for the most part is unprotected he's most likely not going to look at him as a huge threat at first but something maybe a big laughable.

I think he's going to surprise the hell out of Stark/Iron Man with his energy whips.

With his twitter and facebook stuff Favreau seems to keep an eye on the fans feedback a bit. Hopefully he heard from some of them as well as the reviews that the action in the first could have been better(personally I really enjoyed it) and ups it quite a bit for this film.

it looks decent. a lot better than the s&m inspired costume from the comic. it's also exactly how rourke described it in that interview from a few weeks ago. it could very well be the final costume. it resembles the comic counterpart but considerably better.

hes brain needs to think fast enough to move hes arms so that teh whips can protect him.

Think of it this way, we know Fav's decision to use Whiplash as IM's antagonist wasn't taken lightly. I don't believe Whippy is going down easy either. He may end up getting some tech help from Hammer but I definately think he's going to make it a good fight. After all, Favs promised the action would be much better this time around.

They said they were upping the ante on the action big time, so that I anticipate. I felt the first lacked a bit in that department, TIH's action definitely surpassed it.
