The Official Willem Dafoe/Green Goblin I in Spider-Man 3 Thread!!

I hope Dafoe is in this one again.

What would be cool...If Norman guided Harry - told him what to do and so fourth. Everytime Harry looks in the mirror...he would see his dad...then his dad would inform him of what to do. Just like the Green Goblin mask used to do to Norman..

..That would be the shizzles!

^ that was always cool how they did that in the 90s cartoons..whenever harry was flying around, he'd see norman on skyscraper reflections or on the water in the rivers

Man I'm hoping Norman comes back at the end. In the perfect scenerio would go something like this. Dark figure stands over harry's grave. Lightning illuminates the sky revealing it's norman. To show how screwed up in the head he still is, both the Norman personality and the goblin has monologue. First Norman. "Harry I'm Sorry, I love you son". Face becomes evil, then the Goblin. " I give you the keys to the kingdon, and you throw it away in the name of friendship. " Your week you were always week" Then he smashes harry's tombstone.Face goes back to normal I'll take care of Spider-man myself son. Walks away. It would also be cool if they throw in some fact about norman being creamated instead of buried that way it will be easier to believe he's alive. After all we never really see him get buried anyway. It would also be even more cruel if they show that Norman was behind harry's downfall by playing mind tricks on him so he could strike at Spiderman thru his son. Like maybe a projector he used to make harry think he was seeing him in the mirror.

Hey guys, do you know when Harry throws the knife at Norman at the end of SM2? If you can, slow it down when the mirror is about to break and Norman is like fliching. Just something to know.

he NEEDS to be in this.. i dont think james franco can pull off a villain.. at least not one tht will be directly compared back to dafoes goblin.. so they should have dafoe be te deluded side of harry in his head.. and hallucinations

That'd rule! And what'd add onto the coolness is if Norman said something like "This isn't over Spider-Man. I will rebuild, I will find a new man to take my place..." and than that'll give us the promise that Hobgoblin is not too far behind.

It would be cool to see Dafoe doing a small part in Spidey 3, but it isn't something necessary in my opinion. We all know Harry's struggle, and we'll see him give into it by the end- we'll know it revolves around Norman whether we see him or not. Maybe they'll show a scene of him conversing in his mind with Norman, finally becoming GG2- similar to Spidey 2's convo between Parker and Ben.

Will Harry really be a villian though? or just a troubled character with a huge internal struggle... if it's the latter, Franco's enough. Who knows... if he actually dons a Goblin outfit he may be able to do so in a similar fashion to Norman (he doesn't need to be as "evil" as Norman anyway, and I'm sure that just like Norman, the Superman actors, and the Batman actors, Franco will be fine altering his voice a bit for when he's under the mask).

From the few things I've seen (Trying to stay somewhat spoiler free), it looks like Harry stays tormented until Spidey goes dark/evil and attacks him. That would be the perfect situation for Harry I think, doing both what he feels is right and at the same time getting vengence for his father. Whether or not he dons the Goblin outfit or is referred to as the Goblin, that's what he is, fulfilling his father's "legacy".

If Harry is going a bit batty then it would be good to see Willem as some of those delusions. Though I would really like Willem to return as the GG as a final reveal at the end.
