The Official Young Avengers/Runaways Thread

Anyone else notice how huge they made Old Lace in the crossover?

Also, was the Leapfrog really ever used by the West Coast Avengers like they said in the first volume of Runaways? I thought I remembered hearing that from the Hayes family.

Meh, all the art was out of wack, I guess you have to be fan of the art.

When did they mention the Leapfrog in connection with the West Coast Avengers? I gotta look that up.

I thought they did. They might not have. I've been known to be completely and randomly wrong before.

I'm guessing that he becomes super from a blood transfusion from Cap.

You know, that begs the question. If you can become a super soldier from a blood transfusion from an already existing super soldier, why did the scrap the program after the head scientist died? Why didn't they just have Cap donate blood?

I think it has to do with the fact that only a select few people have the correct genetics to accept the 'Super soldier serum' as Steve Rogers and Patriot's grandfather did. Most others have either no reaction or a extremely bad reaction to the serum.

With Patriot being a direct decendent to Isiah Bradley it's possible he's genetically similiar to his grandfather that a transfusion from Cap who has the 'perfected' serum running through his veins, that Eli would react well to Cap's blood.

Just a guess...or Heinberg does a doozy on us and has Vision or one of the other Young Avengers, hell maybe even Super Skrull give him a transfusion.

I don't think the Vision would be able to help much with a transfusion, given that he has no blood. :p

I remember a issue where vision had blood just so magneto could beat him with the rest of the avengers. i totally missed free comic book day!

It was a great story for being free, and a good general comic, but compared to either individual title it was sub-par.

Plus, Skottie Young sucks.

Any updates on West Coast Avengers/Leapfrog connections?

Well Vision could hook Eli up with some artificial parts, I don't know just throwing something on the wall and seeing what sticks.

Multiple covers to become one large one! Marvel you have made me a poor person! Oh and bring back Jo Chen for covers! I got the free issue and all i could do is look at beast and laugh at artwork worse than my own.:)

I interlocked the covers on my own, and it looks great. I'd post the pic, but I can't post pics because i'll never subscribe to photobucket or any of those annoying sites.

Anyway, note Karolina's presence on the cover, behind Hulking's arm.

The new Vision looks more awesome every time I see him. It's cool to see him fighting alongside his kinda-sorta brother, too.

Huh? I don't see her.

I tried putting the photos together on photoshop, but it just didn't look right. Parts of the second cover didn't match up to the first cover no matter how hard I tried.

If you e-mail me your version, I can host it for you. [email protected]

Another great cover, and I like how Cheung is paring them on covers; both mages together (Sister Grimm and Wiccan), and now both "Ultron-related robots" (Victor Mancha and Vision 2.0). And I did catch Karolina in the background; she's in another cover-pick somewhere, so I'm expecting her return soon. Really looking foward to this series.

Curious to see Cheung's renditions of Gert, Old Lace, and Chase. Yeesh, poor Chase will be the most "normal" guy there. All he has is his knife. And command of the Frogger-thing, I guess.

We're so sure that Chase makes it to this crossover:p?

...:(
