It's really more of a thread popularity contest. Just, which team do you prefer? Then, a separate question would be which one would win in a fight. So it's like a two-part-er:

1) Who's your favorite?
2) Who would win?

Runaways for both.

Young Avengers, no doubt. The Runaways are out-numbered.

The Runaways are overpowered as well. Billy's got Nico covered, and the rest of the Young Avengers actually have powers or know how to fight, as opposed to Gert and Chase, neither of whom can do anything in a fight. Old Lace is just a raptor; not really a match for Vision or Hulkling or anyone other than Patriot on the Young Avengers. The rest of the Runaways are similarly outmatched by the Young Avengers' power and numerical advantage.

Oh, and the Young Avengers are my favorite team. Not by much, but they've got the new Vision, whom I like out of allegiance to the old Vision and who seems to be interesting in his own right.

Yeah considering how often it is that the Runaways mock adult superheroes for fighting all the time for no reason, I'm hoping that this will be an actual team-up and not "Let's fight over misunderstandings" which has never been written well and will never be written well. Ever.

Yet it will continue to be attempted. The great thing about humans is that they can take an idea that, historically, has ALWAYS either failed or led to some undesireable outcome, and then go, "Well, this time it will be different...because [INSERTS OWN NAME] is attempting it." And then when the result is what it historically has always been, they seem surprised.

I agree, I'd rather see the YA and the Runaways avoid the fisticuffs, at least until it is time to form an alliance. Marvel's Youngblood needs to stick together sometimes.

Oh, and TheCorpulent1: Sentry HAS officially taken part in a New Avengers mission outside of his origin, as of NEW AVENGERS #18. This of course adds to YOUNG AVENGERS #11 (and presumably #12).

Regarding YA. Do you think they're going to kill off Stature? I ask this b/c I haven't seen her in any Civil War art, only Patriot, Hulkling, Wiccan, and Kate. Tommy's not there either, but he's not really a member...yet.

Nice art, by the way. My complaint is that Hercules is on the ground, passed out, but no beer cans are in sight. Surely they don't mean that Iron Man beat him.

What I don't get is how Cap and Iron Man are trading punches. Even if Cap blocked it with his sheild, wouldn't one punch from Iron Man either dislocate his shoulder or send him flying 20 feet?

One word: Artistic liscense. It means that the artist can do whatever the hell he wants, because it's his interpretation, and most people don't complain.
Who did the art, by the way?
EDIT: Another complaint: I cannot justify Luke Cage hitting a non-evil girl. He just wouldn't. He's to gentlemanly to women to do that unless they have powers and want to kill him. It looks like he's fighting Ms. Marvel, and he knows she isn't evil, so there's no way he'd be offensive. It'd be entirely defense on his part, no aggression.

No. Captain American's Vibranium/Adamantuim alloy shield absorbs impact that it blocks, thus allowing him to block incredible attacks without his body being hurt. He's blocked far stronger things than Iron Man's punch with it (such as Hulk's punch, cosmic-level blasts, that kinda thing). In terms of real life physics, of course, Cap would be hurt no matter what the shield was made out of, but this is comics. Where anyone with a costume and a grappling hook can swing across rooftops and dodge gunfire from point blank range. Just one of those things that come with the medium.

I wonder if she'll bring her "mate" Xavin with her? He/she could add some power to the roster if they needed it (Xavin has the powers of Super-Skrull, just can only use them one at a time, and lacks that "mesmerizing" power, which always seemed really random).

I like Victor. He's a pretty good character. Plus, he's arguably the most powerful member of the group.
