I just think this is such a cluster **** now. Someone said to me it felt like BvS was about 3 movies merged into one and it's hard to disagree with them. I have to honest in this assessment but Marvel were correct in how they approached their universe. Their way is the correct way, it might not have been perfect, but it was consistent and the payoff to the build up was worth it. This was never the right thing to do for any of these characters.

It's hard for me to criticize the idea behind BvS given how poor the execution was.

Being serious here. If Snyder gets fired from the DCU, is he done as a Hollywood director? WB has been a gravy train for him despite a number of flops. What other studio is gonna work with him now? Maybe go back to being a VFX Supervisor for someone else. Nolan might offer him a job, lol.

I think in general this was a concept that was never going to work while having to introduce Batman in this way. You need both Superman and Batman to be developed and all they do is end up cancelling each other out because neither one is the main focus of the story.

I think it could have worked if it had just been Batman and Superman, instead they added in Luthor, Wonder Woman, the Justice League, Doomsday, and Darkseid.

No. Other directors have had flops and continue to work. He'd have to have a succession of flops...like M. Night or be a pain in the butt to work with before he gets blackballed. As his Batman can attest to...just because you are down doesn't mean you can't get back up.

Well WB did a similar thing to the Wachowski siblings after Jupiter Ascending. They're in Netflix land now. I have no clue what Marc Webb is up to now, their situations of mucking up franchises are similar.

Netflix land is hardly a prison sentence.

Marc Webb as a movie coming out this year with Fox.
Was did WB do to the Wachowski siblings?

I think WB or some other studio will still give Snyder chances. I think Watchmen and Sucker Punch, Watchmen, guardians underperformed but 300 (and its sequel), Dawn of the Dead, MOS, Most likely BVS(not to its full potential) made money

TV is actually where a lot of people are going now, so it's not exactly a bad place to land.

And Netflix has begun producing major movies.

People go to TV and Netflix because their vision will 9 times out of 10 be maintained...especially on Netflix where there's no execs making demands.

if it would be underwhelming at box office he will get difficult time. Critics dont mean a thing. Bay still does whatever he wants.

Wachowski's kinda one hit wonders critic wise. Everyone loved matrix 1, but 2 and 3 weren't loved, and despite making money didn't make the same kind of money the first did. Then WB let them do speed racer, cloud Atlas, and Jupiter. All movies that didn't get received that well and didn't make a lot of money. I don't think you'll be seeing them around a big budget movie for a while unless it's matrix 4.

This. I wish people will realize this. Let it burn into their grey matter. No one has ever been fired because of a RT score.
Right now WB is expecting a +120M OW.
if this movie does $75M OW...Zack should be concerned.
if this movie does $750M OW...Zack ain't going nowhere.
While it would be nice to get critical acclaim...as Amy Adams said...they don't make these movies for the critics. They make it for the people who buy tickets.

I think as good place for Snyder to go is Directing a sequel to the last 300 movie. It's right up his alley.

David Goyer deserves alot of blame too. His terrible IMO.

Riding of his success with Nolan.

I'm skeptical that Goyer had anything to do with BvS. It's plausible that Terrio completely rewrote the script.

Whatever happens, somebody needs to tell these idiots in charge to stop ****ting on Superman.

I've yet to see the film but by the sound of it Snyder has serious storytelling issues.

Apparently in this film called Superman V Batman Bruce and Clark share little to no screen time with each other or investigating each other is this true?

It's difficult to point fingers actually in hollywood. Some people has great and terrible stuff.

I mean if somebody told me Spielberg will direct Peter Pan, i would think it'll be awesome. Or some other stinkers.

That's why bringing George Miller won't guarantee anything. He has terrible movies as well despite being an amazing director.

I mean, i have seen ideas around Abrahams' Superman, Aronofsky's Batman, Cameron's Spider-Man were horrible.

I think DC needs someone to tell where to go. Snyder wasn't that guy. I'll never say he is a bad director or has no talent but not the guy for showing the path.

He wrote the first draft, so if he contributed a scintilla his name will be there.

That's not how it works.
The WGA will look at all drafts of this movie. They will determine who created character arcs, motivations...character stuff is the first thing they look at. he they look at set pieces...action sequences. Finally they look at dialogue.

if at the end of Terrio's rewrite the only thing Goyer has contributed is "Do you bleed?" He's not getting a written by credit.
