I really hope we get the best of both worlds when it comes to Snyder and Nolan, like it seems like we are with Vaughn and Singer in X-Men First Class. Nolan's knack for great storytelling mixed in with Snyder's terrific visuals. It'd be great to see Superman as visually striking as Watchmen and 300 but as intellectually soothing as TDK and Inception. Will we get it? time will tell, but I can't wait to find out.
Watchmen was as intellectually soothing as TDK and Inception already.

Yeah, but Watchmen wasn't an original idea from Synder. TDK and Inception were straight from Nolan's head.

Goyer and Jonah wrote the screenplay for TDK...

Well you know what I mean. It was an original idea, not an adaptation...From Goyer and Jonah :p

Actually Christopher Nolan and Jonathan Nolan wrote the screenplay.

Influenced, but not a direct adaptation. Watchmen was almost exactly like the graphic novel (minus the giant squid in particular)

Everything in TDK was essentially the Nolan bros idea's,coupled from influence.

So it cant be said that Watchmen was good cause of the writers from the movie,it was Alan Moore's original story.

Goyer tends to not be a great writer, but more a good film outliner. He can get the film a good basis and groundwork, but his writing is sloppy and needs a script doctor. Films where he was the head writer tend to be much weaker than ones he was just one of the guys on it.

This is why I am somewhat worried about him being the primary writer of this film.

I think with Goyer, I agree, he's good at brainstorming and structure, but dialog is a mixed bag at best. Usually he's great when he's co-writing, however.

Exactly, but to this point, we have no idea if his script gets doctored or not. I REALLY hope it does.

Absoultely true. I don't count on a next Superman movie with a great script.

I'd place a pretty good bet that both Jonah and Chris had a hand in it.

Lots of things to be excited about in this interview, but given the pitch perfect casting so far, this quote put me over the top:

“There’s more to come and I think it’s consistent in its … awesomeness.”

If we got something ridiculously awesome like a DDL casting for Lex or Zod, I think I'd just go nuts.

Also, do we know yet when shooting is anticipated to begin so we can expect when to see the suit?

Getting Daniel Day-Lewis in this is seriously a pipe-dream.

Goyer wrote The Unborn? Someone really needs to tell him about the Alan Smithee thing.

Can Jor-El not be used in the movie? Cause I could see DDL in that role.

Yeah thats why I'm glad that Chris Nolan ironed it out Goyer's scripts are like rough diamonds

Jon Hamm for Jor-El and DDL for Luthor.

As least that's what I want. Either way I can't wait to hear the rest of the cast Snyder says is awesome.

I don't think Nolan is going to let a pure Goyer script slide. Plus I sort of think that Snyder has better taste in Superman comics than Goyer-he certainly has better taste in Superman artists than Goyer does.

No shot that DDL would be in this, but if he were to be, it would have to be as either Jor-El or Jonathan Kent. He's too old for Luthor, especially if they are going with the Birthright Luthor.
