Oh come on, he's not the nicest bloke around but this back stabbing of the team at the World Cup is complete nonsense and nothing more than the hysteria the red tops like to create. Noone seemed to be this hung up on Beckhams affair and noone seems to have really been bothered about Wayne Bridge before or even after the incident. The second claim has been proved bogus, I'm not sure the Loos one was ever proven either as she was shady, however the big difference is that Terry ****ed his friend and teammates girl, that's a different line to cross.

the guy went behind the back of the entire team and management for a personal press conference and bad mouthed them it doesn't need to be blown up to show just really low he will stoop

Posh has stated in many interviews it made their marriage stronger and Loos has never been punished in court for it so make of that what you will. An affairs as the England captain is an affair at the end of the day, both don't set the right image.

On a personal level I can agree it is bad, but it should never have lost him the captaincy anymore than Beckham should have (lets not forget that papers had to later withdraw the story and apologise to them both).
Players don't have to like each other off the pitch, many of the most successful guys haven't seen eye to eye (such as Sheringham and Andy Cole).

In the grand scheme of things it was no worse than Rooney slagging off the England fans at the World Cup, that brought a whole new meaning to low. We all knew the whole World Cup campaign was a farce, we all thought it was pathetic, Terry pretty much agreed with the public and voiced concerns yet we still weren't happy.

Beckham got more c*** for his red card in 98 than he did for that affair, come on Ashley Cole still gets **** for EVERYTHING he does because apparently most of the UK are huge Cheryl Cole fans. He got booed by his own fans at Wembley for cheating on a popstar, did Becks ever get such a reception?


For the record I'm not massive Cole or Terry fans (they are both *****) , I just don't see why certain players being ***s is a problem but noone has a problem with say Andy Carroll despite his assault charges, yet Joey Barton is hated for pretty much the same thing.
